Also,Missy Hyatt looks bad but Missy Beefcake really looks terrible. I don't know how he's tapping that.

Yeah, really glossed over. And Beefcake comes across as deluded with some of his takes on all those dumb gimmicks and angles. He was over in WWF but he was never really over in WCW at all. Beefcake could give Hulk Hogan a run for his money with the bullshit. The best part of the show was Brian Knobs laughing at him for comparing himself to Mel Gibson with his ability to play so many different characters.

It was funny. Knobbs added almost nothing, I get the feeling they struggled to get people for this show.

There was a line where Mrs. Beefcake said something to the effect of promoters wanting to pay Brutus "only 300 dollars" for a booking, and she must get viewed as a booking agent who is trying to jack up his asking price. I do remember that in the late Howard Brody's book, he mentions Beefcake holding him up before a show for exactly 300 extra dollars than what was originally negotiated. Brody paid that difference to make the night come off smoothly, but afterward made it clear Brutus would never get booked again...and reminded him of that down the road when Bruti was calling around to pick up more scheduled dates.

It was funny. Knobbs added almost nothing, I get the feeling they struggled to get people for this show. I bet they asked Jimmy Hart and Hogan told him he couldn’t do it. Hart would surely know what went down.

Yeah probably. Hart may not have ever liked him anyway. He might have seen him as the cost of being friends with Hogan
Blair was fine on it but it didn't come across like they are still close.
Valentine seems like the only person who's friends with him. Bischoff basically said he wasn't worth a shit to WCW. And he wasn't.
I also laughed at Knobbs critiquing Beefcake on not being a good worker in the ring.

I also laughed at Knobbs critiquing Beefcake on not being a good worker in the ring. Knobs was really harsh the whole time, in a way that you usually don't see even on "Dark Side". At the end he was like "It's probably not fair to say Beefcake just carried Hogan's bags, but..." And Bischoff was a bit out of line too. I get it, an unspoken condition of bringing in Hogan was clearly that there be spots for his friends, but Beefcake was singled out. What about Hart, the Nasty Boys themselves (who also got a big TNA deal because of Hogan years later, so Knobs has no room to talk about others), Honky Tonk Man, etc.? All came along for the ride. And WCW had a cast of hundreds under contract, most over-paid and barely used, so Beefcake wasn't close to the worst offender. Bischoff claimed he "was just there for the party", but he got himself in tremendous shape and made the most of his opportunities. I thought some people went out of their way to make him look useless. He was never a great worker, but he was always a reliable mid-carder, and even in WCW he did more than a lot of others who were just on the payroll.

I never thought he was that bad. As a kid I liked him and his gimmick and music. He was a fiery babyface. I didn't like him in WCW. I guess everyone just saw him as the ultimate hanger on. And I am almost positive Flair and someone else said Beefcake would tell them how things should be and what they should do. So he may have rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.
If you've ever hear Bischoff talk about Honkytonk you'll see how lightly he treated Beefcake. He hates Honky.

Next week’s Harley Race episode features newly discovered and incredibly rare 8mm film courtesy of his family, which includes the earliest known wrestling footage of Harley we’ve ever seen.
“The Life and Legends of Harley Race” premieres Tuesday at 10pm on @vicetv .

I thought the Beefcake program was terrible. Waste of time.
I was never a Beefcake fan, so maybe that added to it, but I thought the whole production was horrible.

They're running thin on material now. Beefcake wasn't great. But the stuff about the accident was interesting to me

The clips I have seen point to 8mm film of Harley in Japan, both in ring and out. Interesting.
It would be amazing if they had a clip or two of his and Larry Hennig's AWA tag team but I am not that much of an optimist.
I would also suggest that if the family is that involved in this, there won't be a lot of negative "Dark Side" stuff in the show.

Is there negative stuff about him that we're aware of, aside from his neck/back injuries and probably the painkillers that went along with that later in life?

Was it his fault his wife was killed? He was a nutcase of a driver apparently. Although aknce his family were involved I doubt they'd be a part of that. There was something else about a speedboat crash that was his fault too I think.
It's moved away from the Dark Side a lot. I assume they'll cover his supposed threats to Hulk Hogan and all.
