Tonight’s episode on Buff Bagwell was pretty good. It was really about the entire family, and why rednecks should never get money. His dad is the definition of Redneck Riviera. I didn’t need to know that Judy Bagwell manscaped him, although I’m not surprised. Some Scotty Riggs stuff in there too. Burt came across as likable as possible considering everything he’s done. I really hope he comes out on the other side of this and doesn’t become another statistic. Good to know there was zero blood in his penis for that TV show scene too. Not a bad show, he does seem like he's in a good place now but he's been a bit of a screw up and pretty deluded a lot so i hope I'm wrong thinking that he could be easily derailed again. His dad looks like he's been very sick too.

Last night's Terry Gordy episode was really good. His kids (both wrestlers, one with a cup of coffee in WWE) were heavily interviewed, as were Jim Cornette, Mick Foley, and Kevin von Erich. A few tidbits from this episode:
- Gordy supposedly nodded out during the Freebirds' initial meeting with Vince, one of the big reasons why they only lasted a week in 1984 - After the OD, Gordy could no longer throw a good working punch and it looked like crap, so Foley told him to punch him for real to get their King of the Death Matches bout over and help him save face in Japan - Vince hired Gordy during The Executioner run as a favor to Michael Hayes because Gordy needed the money, and put him under a hood to save him from the embarrassment of being Terry Gordy in that state. Even so, The Undertaker stepped in and said he looked up to Gordy but simply couldn't keep working with him and this wasn't going to work out. Plus, Foley and Paul Bearer lost him on the road 3 times and had to drive around looking for him after he wandered off, so Gordy cost himself his last job pretty quickly.
Clips from his infamous RF Video shoot interview was included. I bought all of those back then, and if you never saw this one, it's Gordy blankly staring into the camera going "Ugh" for 2 hours as Feinstein asks the questions and then basically answers them for him because he has no idea where he is. It was a disgrace that they ever sold that tape, there's literally nothing on it.

Just watched it and it was very good.
Knew the Foley stories from his first book which I read two or three times.
Wasn't there a story that Roberts fell asleep on the ring apron in WWF?
I'd never heard of the Richard Simmons connection.
Never saw the RF video. A disgrace is the only word for it.
Cornette was good when describing Gordy after the coma.

In response to backlash dredged up over that Dark Side episode with Terry Gordy, Rob Feinstein has posted the below. I don’t think it really addresses any of the concerns about exploiting a talent and ripping off your customers by selling a tape that was unwatchable and sad. Once that interview was in the can, the decision should’ve been made that it can’t be sold, but RF focuses on other things here, namely that he doesn’t like what the family said about that interview on the show considering that he worked with an unspecified “family member” (who likely was the wife and not the kids who were actually interviewed on the show) on the deal, presumably because Gordy himself was incapable of talking business.
“Just figured I would post this really quick about our footage of Dark Side of the Ring that they used with our Terry Gordy interview.
We did get paid for them to use our footage but the show left out some very important details. When we did the interview with Terry, we worked with his family member at the time to put together the deal. I remember like it was yesterday that I spoke with Terry on the phone and then dealt with his family member. We flew him from his airport to Philly and his family member drove him and put the deal together with me. In fact he missed his first flight and had to fly again the next day or the day after again.
At no time did we have ANY restrictions and we conducted that interview just like we did in our 1000 other interviews. Terry was NOT on drugs when he was with us. He was not drunk or high or anything. We had no clue about any of his memory issues until we started the interview. In fact we were super nice with him as Doug Gentry and myself helped him remember a lot of great memories and he was having a great time with us. Yes it was not one of our best interviews but that was only because Terry could not remember a lot from his golden days, but at no time EVER did Terry feel uncomfortable with us. He had a great time talking about his friends and his travels.
When the interview was over we took him out to dinner and he flew home the same day he came in. The entire deal was done thru his family who I have spoken with many times since, so the show made it out to be a disaster of a interview and showed how he was confused at times. It was no different than our interview with Jimmy Snuka who also had a ton of memory issues.
It all depends on the talent, but at no time was it like we can't do this interview. The only time we did not do a interview was my decision not to film one with Scott Hall because he was in a bad place and I would NEVER put a talent on camera to make them look bad.”

Brutes Beefcake this week. First time I've heard in detail about his accident and operation. They interview his surgeon. It's interesting.
Some of the other stuff is... bullshit. Also, no need to hear his current wife talking about a time she wasn't there for.

Also, no need to hear his current wife talking about a time she wasn't there for. His wife seems like complete New Jersey trash. And they spend much of the episode talking about his rift with Hogan without ever explaining what the hell happened. No one seems to be willing to talk about it.

Yeah, really glossed over. And Beefcake comes across as deluded with some of his takes on all those dumb gimmicks and angles. He was over in WWF but he was never really over in WCW at all.
Beefcake could give Hulk Hogan a run for his money with the bullshit.
