Biden is asking 'are you better off now than 4 years ago?' ala Ronald Reagan So he has to compare things to 'the pandemic year'. Good Lord. Not just the pandemic but the George Floyd chimp outs, which he and his ilk encouraged and supported completely.

Better off 4 years ago. Don't go back 5 years or 6 years or 7 years. Just 4.

So, in the wake of the "bloodbath" brouhaha, the major dictionaries quietly went in and edited their definitions to make sure that anyone looking it up understands that Orange Man Bad. Here is an article with screenshots. The sample sentence in the Oxford Dictionary used to read "A few mutual funds performed well in the general bloodbath of the stock market." Now it reads, "He allowed the protest to go ahead despite warnings that it could spark a bloodbath." How fucking ham fisted could you be with this stuff? Yeah, on one hand this is one of these tempest in a teapot, "let's outrage the foot soldiers!" type stories that lasts 24 hours, but it's also a disturbing trend. The White house two years ago changed its definition of a recession, that had been in place for half a century: two consecutive quarters of negative growth. Since we were about to meet that criterion, it was altered into something far more vague. In other words, "it'll be a recession when we say so." And let's not forget the CDC changing the definition of "vaccine" in 2021 in order to comport with the non-sterilizing mRNA shots being wheeled out. This is an offshoot of the internet-age requirement that you justify all your opinions through appeals to authority. You can't just say you want something because, well, you want it. You have to provide evidence that a higher authority has approved your opinion. Once you've confined yourself to that matrix, now that justification can be quietly stripped away, making it impossible to hold any views that deviate from the approved morality.

Greg Abbot seems to care. if Biden and the Dems really care then they should put forth a temporary measure that shuts down the entire US / Mexico border 100%. Leave all of the Ukraine and Israel funding out of it just the US border 100% shutdown and have it expire 2 weeks after the inauguration. Call the Republican’s out so everyone can see who they are. Until the Dem’s do that i dont believe they care. Like i said the dems dont care And the Dems still dont care

Those people still take up resources. They still live in that area. It doesn't say let them vote. It just says they live there.

Local voting rights are being given to non legal residents in some cities but that is beside the point. Counting non legal residents as apart of the census that determines congressional seats is junk because they aren't citizens and legally shouldn't be living there in the first place.

This isn't worthy of its own thread and isn't election related, but I'm sticking it here. The other day Kamala Harris claimed, "women’s (NCAA) teams were not allowed to have brackets until 2022." Is there any way to twist that claim so that it kinda, sorta makes sense? Am I missing something that would allow her to claim something easily disprovable? Of course, she said it to make the point that women athletes are horribly discriminated against and ignored and if only they had had "brackets" before 2022, women's sports would be just as popular as men's, but this is simply bizarre.

I did a quick Google of 2016 NCAA Women’s basketball tournament brackets and they existed
She should go back to something more truthful like quoting ‘jobs created’ numbers

I don't even know what she was trying to say because it makes so little sense. Does she know what "brackets" are? If there's a tournament, there's brackets. Is she upset that Caitlin Clark wasn't allowed to break Babe Ruth's home run record too? It's just nonsense talk from a diversity hire.

Is she talking about the tourney being broadcast on TV like the men, or the fact that Yahoo and other fantasy sites didn't do brackets for the women. Last year was the first year I remember getting info from Yahoo about a Woman's Bracket.

Ooof, Joe is setting the bar really high this week. His latest claim is that his uncle was shot down in WWII over New Guinea and was eaten by cannibals! Trump, Harris? Anyone want to take a stab at topping this one?
