They got thrown in a river on Tuesday night. Wasn't that Pretty Deadly? Got my English tag teams mixed up.

Women's Tag Champs got drafted to Smackdown and woman's champ to Raw. Do they have a tournament planned or just have them lose the belts next week?

Tiffany Stratton just cut one of the longest, worst promos in wrestling history while “celebrating” (joylessly) her Women’s title victory. There was nothing laughably bad about it like Marina Shaffir, it was just painful to listen to as she visibly tried to recite her lines in a monotone and displayed a negative amount of personality. Some of these NXT people are just light years away from being TV ready, and I’ll never understand why WWE thinks it’s okay to put this kind of minor league product out there.

Ilja Dragunov carried Bron Breakker to the best match of his career last night, and I was so happy to see he actually got the win. I’m just going to say what I’ve been thinking for a long time now: Dragunov is the best wrestler in the world. Everything looks real and his intensity is at another level. I easily put him ahead of Omega, Ospreay, Okada, etc.

Rip Fowler and Jagger Reid are finally gone from NXT. Their contracts expired. They had asked fir their releases months ago, then we’re booked in a loser-leaves-town match…and won. Seemingly spite booking. But instead of getting any resolution apparently, they’ll just disappear now. The Grizzled Young Veterans are back.

At the NXT No Mercy PPV, there was a vignette of someone flipping channels from “Bengals training camp” to WCW Saturday Night to NXT. That was Brian Pillman, Jr., who could debut as soon as tonight. Obviously, this served as a tribute to the places his father was, but it’s unclear if he will continue to use his father’s name in NXT.

Ilja Dragunov is becoming the best wrestler on the planet, his work is so good it has allowed his size to not even be a thought when he makes those threats...
and he just can't have a bad match it seems

Ilja Dragunov is becoming the best wrestler on the planet, his work is so good it has allowed his size to not even be a thought when he makes those threats... and he just can't have a bad match it seems I said 2 years ago he was the best wrestler in the world between work rate, intensity, and making you believe and care. He's been there for a long time. I don't think anyone on the planet compares to him. He makes the strong style guys in Japan look like pussies. He's absolutely wasted in NXT, but it doesn't stop him from being better than everyone. I don't care what anyone says, he should be the one to beat Reigns because there's no one else anyway and he'd make you believe it and get you invested more than Cody ever could. He should beat Brock first though, and it would be the most believable loss Brock has ever had. Just strap the rocket to him and have him do the David vs. Goliath thing for the next year and it'll be gold.

Sounds like a big push for tomorrow's NXT. In addition to the main roster attendees, THE FIRST 30 MINUTES WILL BE COMMERCIAL FREE. Source

Back in the day, Pillman Jr. competed as Alex King, a tribute to his sisters ALEXIS Reed and Skylar KING. In one promo, Pillman made the name change make sense, created a bitter heel character, and showed more personality than he had in years in AEW and MLW. It was only a pre-tape, but it was incredibly well done.

Vic Joseph announced that his father passed away yesterday, hours before he went on the air with NXT. He said his earliest memories of his dad are of them watching wrestling together, and he dedicated the broadcast to him. It was not mentioned on the air.

Lexis King made his NXT in-ring debut last night at a house show, beating Brooks Jensen. It seems like he’s a heel.
