The final episode of the "old" NXT before next week's re-launch did just 601,000 viewers. Not counting the shows that were bumped to SyFy due to the Olympics, this is by far the lowest number since the Mar. 17 episode did 597,000, and that blamed on St. Patrick's Day.

The interminable segments following the hen and stag dos for Lumis/Hartwell did not help. God bless Indi and Grimes, who are doing their absolute damnedest with utter shit, but there is no rescuing that abomination.

During a commercial break, WWE promoted the new NXT on the Titantron during last night's Smackdown at MSG and it was booed out of the building.

If Vince truly hasn’t changed, this will resonate with him. He always believed he could tell the pulse of the WWF fan base by the reactions the MSG crowd gave.

Seems like a work to get the belt off the old, fat, indy guy for the reboot. Certainly there's a construction worker out there with 2 years of Division III football who's more deserving.
If Joe is really continuing to have medical issues, it's time for him to walk away.

Yeah I'm thinking it's a work (and a lousy one) but if he his problems are reoccurring he should pack it in and move into training and/or commentating , which he's pretty good at.

Seems like a strange work, because Samoa Joe passing the torch would be a perfect way to usher in a new era of NXT. If it's about the new type of wrestler they want, then what do they do with the booked #1 contender match? That wouldn't presumably now be for the vacant title. The only guy in that match with the kind of size that Vince is looking for is LA Knight, and he's right on the minimum requirement and 38 years old. I don't see any of those 4 guys (Knight, Pete Dunne, Kyle O'Reilly and Tommaso Ciampa) having any main roster potential.

PWInsider:
Samoa Joe is not expected out of action for an extended period of time but there's no word yet as to when he'll be back. We are told the decision to strip him was not a creative one but what was stated, WWE medical made the call, so the decision was made to strip Joe and crown a new champion tonight, trying to turn a negative into a positive by having the coronation of the next WWE NXT Champion as part of the NXT 2.0 broadcast.
There is no word whether Joe will be at today's taping.
Behind the scenes, there is a lot of trepidation among NXT talents going into tonight's taping. There had already been a lot of stress and concern among talents after the last batch of releases, since the feeling among many is that talents who did "everything they were supposed to" and/or were "great talents" were released, leaving some of those who remained that PWInsider.com has spoken with feeling as if everyone was now on thin ice and that even if they did the right thing, it didn't matter and their runs could be over at any point with no notice. While that was always true, there had previously been a feeling that they were in a protective cocoon of sorts thanks to Paul Levesque, but that feeling was ripped away obviously.
The fact that Paul Levesque will likely not be at today's taping due to his recent medical emergency has also raised concern as there's a feeling among some talents that they don't know what they are walking into today and don't even know if it's going to be Levesque's regular team running the taping or others from WWE. There is a great sense of unease among many talents as they wait, like everyone else, to find out what exactly NXT is supposed to be going forward, as a product.
The call-time for today's taping was moved up earlier than usual because of it being the first live broadcast in several weeks and with everything planned, including pre-tapes.
WWE NXT is slated to be live all through the remainder of September and October, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

I agree, i thought they would have Cardell Hayes use his stip and beat Samoa Joe for the title before i heard about the injury but yeah does seem strange

I don’t know what’s worse, the white boy rap song or the rainbow vomit that makes up the color scheme. And the set looks like a cross between a ‘70s studio show and WWF Primetime.

We have to start putting this in the conversation for worst WWE shows ever. So many generic characters were introduced and all looked awful and I literally don’t know any of their names. It was an endless parade of jobbers to me. It almost seemed like Tough Enough and tryout matches. I don’t see how any current NXT star can think he has a job much longer after this. It was a total reboot.

It's not like there isn't a place for a show like this. People need somewhere to practice and try out new stuff. In-ring it's gonna suck. Green wrestlers doing WWE punchy-kicky style isn't going to be fun to watch for two hours. It's pretty much the same concept as AEW Dark (although Tony is paying me to tell you that Dark is way better). But... WWE are getting money from USA for this show, but this isn't the show they paid for. Will the ratings hold up? Will USA be happy if they don't? Will they change the format to make USA happy?

USA thought they were getting Finn Balor and wound up with Von Waggoner (who I hear is Wayne Bloom’s son). There must’ve been at least 15 new faces introduced in 2 hours, either in a match, backstage segment, or vignette. No one stuck out at all, not that it would be easy to stick out in that situation. But some seemed lost. And with all those people on the roster, Vince had the nerve to go up to L.A. Knight and say, “You’re jobbing TWICE tonight, pal.”

They seem pretty high on Bron Breakker, given his win and it looked like he was challenging Ciampa at the very end of the show. This is another example of taking things away from someone though. The Steiner name means a lot. Debut him as a Steiner, bring out his dad, and the guy is instantly over. Instead you get the singlet and an inside reference on commentary. Kushida vs Strong next week will seem very out of place. Two small guys having a great match, with neither having a chance on the main roster. I'm not as down on the show as you are, but it has zero chance of hitting the NXT highs, and I doubt this format will be successful in ratings. I'm not sure where Amateur Wrestling Soprano came from. It sounded like something from promo class that was never supposed to make TV.

I had no idea that was even Steiner. I had just heard they were going to call him Rex Steiner, which would’ve gotten over much more, but Vince must’ve vetoed it at the last minute. But he just came across as another guy. Almost all the new guys have amateur wrestling gimmicks too. Not even an attempt at diversity.

If you listen to him, he sounds a lot like Rick, and generic commentator #7 said he had the attitude of a dog-faced gremlin.
Von Wagner is Cal Bloom, Wayne's son. You also saw the debut of Bull Buchanan's son as one of the guys who lost to Imperium.
I also have to say, the wedding was quite entertaining. It would have probably got a very nice crowd reaction if there were more than 12 people in the audience.

I didn't have any perspective on this as I rarely have watched NXT. Aside from a new hair color and style, what has changed? Looks are all subjective but my own perception is unchanged; it isn't a Jillian Hall situation where she had a gimmick disfigurement and it was eaten away by the Boogeyman.

I found it interesting because I thought someone had removed a Rick Steiner head from an action figure and replaced it with this Bron Breaker guy. Even before the Dogfaced Gremlin reference, he was doing a tribute to his dad with much the same energy and mechanics, and wearing the singlet was a bonus, so reading who it was in a recap just confirmed what I was thinking.
And on the topic of Rick Steiner's physique, it was surprising to see him a few years ago in Waterloo receiving an award, as he had dropped so much mass that he wasn't instantly recognizable. He got into real estate and was a school board member last I recall, and had clearly left the ring days behind him...although he did go up to Canada to wrestle the Hannibal TV fella around the same time, and hid his whole body with black ring gear like one of the Assassins.

The make-up was caked on and just not flattering as well. Of course attractiveness is subjective, but she was an incredible natural beauty before, and last night just didn't do anything for me at all. I'm sure she'll lose sleep over that.

It looks like they gave her Emma's repackage job from a few years back.

When Bron Breaker (what a godawful name) came on the screen, I got my wife and asked her if she could look at him and guess who he might be related to. Without hesitation, she said. he is definitely a Steiner. The genes in that family are strong as fuck.
For his sake, I hope they give him a chance to learn and develop before thrusting him into the title picture like they were hinting at the end of the show.

I liked it , I dig the retro vibe of the show, the promo and presentation style.
BUT i wonder how is B Fab been with WWE for 3 yrs and looked so horrible last night in the ring she has a good look that you want from a female wrestler but man that match was rough and it was only a minute long

I’m just spending the entire NXT Googling who the fuck these guys are. I don’t know anyone and they barely even give you their generic names.

Some people complain that Excalibur gives too much back story on wrestlers (I don't agree). In NXT, we're just supposed to accept that these people popped into existence yesterday.
If this show was on the Network, as a developmental level below NXT, this show would be fine. Let people learn and make mistakes in front of an understanding audience. But this is national television, and it can only really appeal to the super-hardcore we-love-everything wrestling fanbase, which is very small. It's a long way from being must-see.

The new guy who was in the main event last week wasn’t even on the show this week. Instead we got introduced to 30 new guys. This is so epically bad.

I'm watching this second episode now. That set looks like garbage. You can't take it seriously when it looks like a children's Saturday morning TV show from the 90s (might be a UK thing), with a similar sized audience. However they did the lighting for Full Sail, it never looked this bad. That place looked like a wrestling venue. The Lucha Underground building also looked fine, but this looks terrible.
One reason why AEW took off so quickly, and TNA never did was that AEW looks like a real wrestling show filmed in a real arena. When you shoot in a TV studio, it looks low-rent. There's a reason WWE created the Thunderdome, because it looked crap in the Performance Center.
Are they using a smaller ring for NXT 2.0? It looks like it's smaller, but the ropes look higher.
Poor Kushida ends his WWE career getting punched in the face by a woman.

I wouldn't disrespect made man Tony D'Angelo if I were you. He's no fugazi mafioso. You might end up in Lake Michigan wearing concrete shoes.
He cut another promo about his family.

Did anyone else catch the subtle nod to Von Wagner's dad in his vignette when he was slinging the sledgehammer?

That promo was like watching a cartoon. I was flipping between the Jays-Rays game and NXT and I get this shit. Nxt 2.0 leads to Enforcer Luciano 2.0. BTW, Wagner looks like a Caveman with his protruding forehead.

No. I just don't see him getting any kind of push now that Vince is in charge of NXT. 38 years old. Small guy. English isn't great. Everything is working against him.

You could say that for a ton of people. Roderick Strong beat him for the title last night, but i don’t see how he has a future at his age and with his lack of size and personality.

But he's in a stable with people they want to push. Will they even keep the CW title if they don't want any small guys?

I don't see the size of the performance center as a problem. TV studios worked very well for Memphis and a number of other promotions all those years and it was one of the best aspects of the NWA YouTube show. The current facility is closer in size to say the say Irish McNeil's Boys Club , which was a great atmosphere for wrestling.
The layout isn't the problem. It's rebooting a product that didn't need one. Titan Tower killed anything unique about the promotion with the reboot. Promos are as atrocious as the main roster. The doubling down on backstage skits...ugh.The only bright spots for me are the announce team and a handful of talent.

I disagree i liked it and more interested in the new NXT then i was the old NXT....
and I think it was smart to get away from the original NXT 2.0(this new reboot is really 3.0) that people loved because AEW does it better with the alternative to WWE style that Triple H wanted NXT to be.
but also with the tribalism wars going on right now(AEW vs WWE) and the fact that wrestling fans complain about everything especially WWE related ...it is taking away this might be the best 2 months of exciting wrestling in US since the end of 98..

Before moving to USA, NXT was actually more indy-rific than AEW, at least the Takeover shows. The Revival vs. Ciampa and Gargano actually was better than the more hyped FTR vs. Young Bucks matches, by a lot. I haven't enjoyed modern matches in 30 years as I did some of that stuff. NXT only got watered down once Vince realized he owned it.

After ring wing sites such as FOX News and the NY Post wrote articles on Joe Gacy’s new mock-woke character, who talked about safe spaces and male privilege, WWE has deleted the promo from YouTube, Twitter, and just about everywhere else. So they’ve had an immediate reconsideration into going into controversial territory and have probably killed the gimmick after 1 week.

That can only mean the character was supposed to be a babyface, and was supposed be woke, not mocking the woke. If he was supposed to be mock-woke, getting coverage on Fox News is exactly what they should have wanted. In fact, it should be beyond their wildest dreams to get mainstream coverage for a debuting 2 minute promo.

There is no way that character was supposed to be a babyface. It was an over-the-top Right to Censor gimmick, but maybe WWE just has no idea how to do that anymore.

So why did they cancel him? This should be exactly what they wanted.

But I don't even recognize their old names...
WWE has finalized new ring names for the following talents, PWInsider.com can confirm:

*Jennifer Michell Cantu Iglesias is now Yulisa Leon.
*Jessica Woynilko is now Tiffany Stratton.
*Sanjana George is now Vish Kenya.

I would love to see a wrestler whose whole gimmick is being "woke" and going full tilt with it. Let his initials be SJW. His finisher could be Cancel Culture. Transition moves and high spots could be called things like Stunning and Brave, Male Privilege, the Patriarchy. IT practically writes itself.
Just let him be smug and obnoxious like certain poster over at a certain other message board but have good ring skills. Crowds would eat that shit up and would love to see a guy like that get his ass kicked.

Joey Ryan and Rob Van Dam formed a tag team in Impact called Cancel Culture, right before Ryan was canceled.

These honeymoon skits involving Dexter Lumis and Indy Hartwell…why? Just why? Who could this possibly appeal to? Who’s shooting this and is like, “That’s the take. That was perfect. Gold baby, gold!”

And what was with “shit” being said twice on the show without bleeping? They’ve decided to make NXT the adult brand, just as they’ve broken out the romper room set?

Imagine if they replaced Saturday Night Live with a beginners improv class. That's NXT 2.0

I tried to watch this week's show, but it's very hard to care when everyone is so unknown and so green. I had to laugh when a Samoan named Quinn came out. You can't tel me that these names are anything but picked at random.

Well, Elektra Lopez is Karissa Rivera, whose father Juan Rivera wrestled for the WWF as Steve King. At least in her case you could see there was a generational precedent.

It looks like a local cable TV show. It can't be much different in terms of presentation or match quality than Booker T.'s indy Reality of Wrestling or something like that. It actually reminds me a bit of Championship Wrestling From Hollywood. You still have a handful of holdovers like Kyle O'Reilly and Pete Dunne who wouldn't know how to have a bad match if they tried, but they are making it really, really difficult to watch to get to those guys. And one of the few good workers left, the heart and soul of the brand for years, Johnny Gargano, no longer wrestles and instead is involved in cringy comedy skits where he's trying to make sure the condoms are well stocked. There's too much wrestling on for me to watch this garbage much longer. If I don't have time to keep up with Dark or Elevation, then I don't see how I can justify watching NXT at this point.

This week's show was absolute garbage and I feel so sorry for the good number of fully trained wrestlers who have ended up being dumped in this wrestlers' kindergarten.
I'm also 100% that there are plants in that audience to get the fans to make some noise.
Just awful, and I won't be watching again.

I watched another dumpster fire called the Yankees last night instead, and not sure if I can sit through this as well. I've suffered enough.

I’m 45 minutes into NXT and we have 2 botched finishes where it looked like there were kick-outs and 1 legit injury where a girl killed herself and needed to be removed from the match. This show needs to be moved to public access.

Also they decided the commentators should dress down for NXT and now they look like a gay couple from the Pacific Northwest on a chilly night. Wade Barrett is definitely the top.

They just had 6 women, few of them experienced, have a ladder match that ended in at least 3 of them almost dying at different points. This show has become more irresponsible than bad. These kids should not be continually put in situations they’re not ready for. If Cornette bashes AEW botches, what the fuck is he saying about this show?

I thought the NXT crowd had some plants to lead the crowd, but it seems not. From Trent Osborne at bodyslam.net yesterday:
The negative reaction to MSK from the NXT crowd has been a topic of discussion amongst fans since their debut this past January.
A recent Reddit post that has been making the rounds on social media suggests that the reason the current NXT Tag Team Champions were getting such a nasty reaction was due to a tweet that Nash Carter, one-half of MSK, had made in 2018 criticizing a spot that included a 13-year old Izzy taking a choke-slam at an Indy show. Izzy, who you may remember as the “Bayley fan” that Sasha Banks made cry during the Banks/Bayley 30-Minute Ironman match at NXT Takeover: Respect, along with her parents have been very prominent figures in the NXT community for years. The post alleges that Izzy’s parents held a grudge against Carter and got a group of very vocal NXT fans to boo the team mercilessly whenever they would appear.
I not only can confirm that this rumor has been floating around the NXT community since at least February, but that numerous sources close to the situation have told me that it is true.
Sources say the parents, along with a contingent of fans they convinced to join them in the negative reaction to MSK, were asked to move away from the hard-camera side of the arena due to the group visibly booing the team on-screen. “Go back and watch NXT before Takeover: Stand and Deliver, their posse is [on] hard cam every show.” one source said. “After [Takeover] a decision was made to move them off hard cam because of the booing of MSK, but by then the crowd had been ingrained to boo them because “it was cool.”
The group cannot be seen in their usual spot in the audience in the episodes of NXT following Stand and Deliver, and reportedly moved to a corner of seating away from the main camera’s view following the event.
One source even said that they had overheard a member of the group, that was not Izzy or her parents, suggest that they should chant “Your dad’s dead” to Carter after the NXT superstar had been vocal on social media about the 12th anniversary of his father’s passing in February. NXT officials were reportedly notified of the comment by a nearby audience member.
Former NXT and current IMPACT, Ring of Honor, and NWA star Chelsea Green seemed to confirm that she had suffered the same treatment from fans Thursday on Twitter:
[Cut and paste issues here, but there is a screenshot of a Chelsea Green tweet that has her saying: "Lol yes, it did actually. Numerous times. It sucked!" replying to a question from a private account so I don't know what the question was exactly - Kriss.]
Green was also critical of the choke-slam spot on social media, along with many others in the business such as Lance Storm, Lince Dorado, and her fiancé Matt Cardona.
MSK is currently in the midst of a 197-day reign as the NXT Tag Team Champions.
Confirmed by Meltzer:
"I got a couple of versions of the story but the version going around is basically correct. I think the short version of it rather than go into big details of people say in line is that there are people there, including the parents of Izzy, who are mad because in 2018 Zachary Wentz before he was Nash Carter when he was an independent wrestler and others including Lance Storm and Chealsea Green made comments that were negative about Izzy taking a chokeslam at an independent show when she was 13 years old… so Carter shows up at NXT and her parents start the crowd to go against him and they got a lot of friends and everyone knows everyone. There’s like 200 people there and they’re pretty much all invited and it’s the same people every week…”
“It’s enough of those people that they’re booing them. They’re gonna boo MSK, that’s their deal so that’s the basic story on why. It’s not like it’s some organic thing. It was enough people that they can make it boo because it’s such a small building.”

Including Zoey Stark missing what ought to be a basic move in her arsenal. She came close to blowing out her knee.
Ladder match also suffered from typical ladder match booking. I.e. someone scoots up six rungs of the ladder then stops just where they can't reach the belts. And waits there until someone stops them. What's the kayfabe reason for not taking two more steps and having an easy task?
Was made worse in this one by having two ladders - a short one and a tall one - and having them use the short one when the tall one is RIGHT THERE.

The botched spot that apparently got the most attention was from MSK vs. Imperium lumberjack match. There was a cutter off the top rope to the floor where the lumberjack rookies parted like the Red Sea and the MSK guy landed hard. Matt Riddle tweeted that they should all “be beaten with sticks” and backstage the reaction was reportedly very negative towards the lumberjacks.
In discussing the spot, Lance Storm said the key isn’t to dive into a pile but to dive unto the one guy you trust to catch you and to hope that everyone else helps that guy out. He said there didn’t seem to be anyone trustworthy out there though.

These poor women in NXT. Barely out of wrestling school and they had to try and work a three way adder match without dying, now they are putting them inside the WarGames cage. Good luck to them, you can't blame the workers, but let them learn to walk before making them run.

This week’s NXT drew 574,000 viewers, the 2nd lowest rated episode ever on USA (not counting the shows switched to a different network due to preemptions). Even worse, in the 18-49 demo, NXT lost 26% of its audience from just last week. Year-over-year, NXT is down 22% in the key demos from 2020, despite no longer going head-to-head with AEW, which dominated them in that key demo. That’s pretty astounding.

With Johnny Gargano's contract set to expire on December 3 and WarGames being on December 5, Gargano has signed a one week extension. With the way the market is and having a kid on the way, unless he's guaranteed a good AEW deal, I could see him staying with WWE.

He's completely lost there now though. All the old guard look hopelessly lost. Ciampa is the champion and even he seems lost. The War Games will no doubt put over the "new blood" at the expense of the original NXT, and I saw the booking as the swan song for all of them. They're actually calling Ciampa, Gargano, Dunne, and Knight "Team Old School". Dunne is 28 and Knight was signed a few months ago. And the saddest part of all is that one of them will probably be seriously injured because you have 4 guys wrestling them who have no idea what they're doing in a regular match, much less in a War Games.

Johnny Gargano appears to be done with NXT after tonight, as alluded to on his Twitter as well as a promo by Ciampa tonight. His contract is up and surely he’ll have no problem signing with AEW even if they’re raising standards. That’s probably a spoiler for the main event as I would expect him to do the job and put one of these talentless young kids over.

Gargano almost in tears walking out. Huge entrance with a huge pop. The announcers put him over big. Entire crowd on their feet chanting “Johnny Wrestling”. It’s definitely the end without anyone saying it. Gargano’s NXT run was amazing and when you can’t figure out how to keep guys like this, there’s just no hope.

His contract is up on Friday. They are probably still going to try to resign him until then.

His contract is up on Friday. They are probably still going to try to resign him until then.
It's either going to be a farewell address or he'll announce he re-signed. Meltzer says it really looks unlikely he's re-signing, so pretty surprising they'll give him a mic not knowing which way it's going yet.

When they gave Gargano the end of the show to make his announcement I was sure they had to be keeping him. And then when he started talking about leaving I thought maybe it was a swerve and he was going to the main roster for his new contract. But no, he really hasn’t re-signed yet and he likely will be in AEW soon. They had Grayson Waller run in to lay out Gargano and write him off TV, but prior to that he gave a great farewell speech thanking HHH, HBK, Regal and a bunch of guys who never get mentioned on TV like Steve Corino, Matt Bloom, and Terry Taylor. Definitely the end of an era.

I don't think they give him that platform if he's leaving. I think he's taking time off to be with Candice and he'll be back with WWE after the baby is born.

After the show went off the air, Ciampa came out and checked on Gargano. The two then sat in the ring together and cried. That doesn’t sound like only paternity leave. Meltzer says he really hasn’t re-signed yet.

Whatever it is, it's a great deal for him, because everyone is talking about him. There are a variety of scenarios that could make sense. Marina Schafir was at the AEW Dark tapings in Orlando on Friday. I wouldn't be surprised if she was on the phone to her husband and somehow Tony Khan got a hold of her phone and Johnny Gargano and Kyle O'Reilly got a hold of Roddy's phone somehow. I don't really get how staying with NXT can be a pull for a guy like Gargano unless they just throw money at him. Even then, we've see that if they think you are being overpaid, they won't hesitate to release you. As a performer, he has to decide if he wants the huge pop for his next appearance to be 200 NXT 2.0 fans or 10,000 AEW fans. I'm ruling out 5,000 WWE fans, because even if he joins the main roster, I don't see them introducing him in a way that would get a huge reaction.

In the meantime, Kyle O'Reilly confirmed that his loss to that dude whose new name I don't even know in the steel cage match last night was his final NXT appearance.

I think Gargano is going to just take time off to be with Candice and the baby and he'll sign somewhere around March or April of next year. There's no reason to sign anywhere now when he wants to spend time with the family, and in 3-4 months who knows what the landscape will be like?

Meltzer is reporting that the internal belief is that both Gargano and O'Reilly will re-sign, but obviously that's far from a sure thing.

The NXT 2.0 PPV last night, Throwback Throwdown, was really good. They did a really great job of getting all these new characters over. Probably a few too many Canadian gimmicks for Vince, but that's an easy fix when they get to the main roster.

Bron Brekker best Tommaso Ciampa clean with the Steiner Recliner to win the NXT title.
Carmelo Hayes beat Roderick Strong to unify the North American and Cruiserweight titles (and essentially end the Cruiserweight division).
There’s not a lot left to do to finish burying NXT after tonight.

Rick Steiner was there and celebrated in the ring with Brekker after NXT went off the air, so then not calling him a Steiner is beyond absurd now.

WWE finally convinced WALTER to move to the U.S. and he has been announced as a full-time member of NXT now. A farewell match to NXT UK will air in the coming weeks against Nathan Fraser. They were pretty much at a stalemate with him for months as he refused to move. This probably saved his job as they clearly were high on him and he’s getting paid more than anyone else in NXT UK by a lot, but they didn’t want him there anymore. Now in 2.0 and on Vince’s radar, I shudder to think how he’ll be used and how far he will fall in presentation. I have a feeling he’ll get lost within 2 months and wind up released anyway when they wonder why his new Oktoberfest gimmick doesn’t get over.

And of course the first thing they do with him is job him and Imperium to an ad hoc team with Matt Riddle.

It's not like there isn't a place for a show like this. People need somewhere to practice and try out new stuff. In-ring it's gonna suck. Green wrestlers doing WWE punchy-kicky style isn't going to be fun to watch for two hours.

But he's in a stable with people they want to push. Will they even keep the CW title if they don't want any small guys?
Tyler Rust was in the same stable.

One reason why AEW took off so quickly, and TNA never did was that AEW looks like a real wrestling show filmed in a real arena. When you shoot in a TV studio, it looks low-rent. There's a reason WWE created the Thunderdome, because it looked crap in the Performance Center.
The set itself looks atrocious. Way too busy and distracting.

*Joseph Fatu is now Sefa Fatu.

I think they’re talking about the old NXT. I didn’t notice anyone booing them in NXT 2.0.

These kids should not be continually put in situations they’re not ready for. If Cornette bashes AEW botches, what the fuck is he saying about this show?

Bron Breakker last night: "I'm not a math major, and by the sound of it, you ain't either... but the way I see it, you have less than 33 1/3 % chance of ever taking this #NXTChampionship from me."
So no reference is to be made of him being a Steiner, but…

I still recall the time WCW fielded a team for celebrity Family Feud and Rick went first in the Fast Money Round:
RAY COMBS: "Name one of the costs of buying a car."
RICK STEINER: "Uhhhh.... nine thousand dollars."
