I'm also gonna go with Mindhunters. This is a Netflix show that ran only two seasons. If anyone likes psychological thrillers, this was good.

Napoleon Dynamite Thundarr the barbarian
V - this show was a mess pretty much right away compared to the mini series but they had plenty of meat on the bone to work coming into the show.

The writer got bored or something like that and said he may entertain writing more episodes in the future. It was a bizarre reason.

Everything started making sense and it went off of the air.

Obvious one: Police Squad. Cancelled because the station head said that it required people to watch it. American executives.

I thought I'd heard it ended cos of cost. It was both. Netflix first cancelled on budget, but after the demand became apparent, Netflix offered to loosen up the purse strings. David Fincher then said he was too busy with other projects and needed a break to pursue other projects. Netflix then went back to Fincher and basically said, “Hey, we got a cult following with this show. Whwt do we need to do to make this happen?’” It seemed like Fincher manufactured excuses as to why another season should not be pursued. Then he gave the possible continuance of the series in 5 years. Guy gave some strange answers.

Pretty great director, it's a shame.
Also, Deadwood. I might have this as number one of the shows I wanted more of.

Given their relatively short runs, there are any number of British shows that qualify. Only 12 episodes of "Fawlty Towers"? Surely that could have gone on longer, the question is how long could it have kept up that impossibly high standard? "Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em" is another one that put together two seasons, totalling 13 fantastic episodes, but then, after a three year hiatus, they made a third season that doesn't hold a candle to the first two (the character of Frank seemed to be a different person entirely), so maybe that would have happened to "Fawlty Towers" too.

Had several more seasons that could have been tremendous.
