So we just had a very high profile cop killing here in NYC. As you would imagine, the guy who did it has slightly more on his record than jay-walking. The shooter was the passenger in a car. They were parked legally and not bothering anyone but they did suffer from severe melatonin issues. Sherlock Holmes starts harassing them for ID. They didn't want to give to him because well....it was their constitutional right not to. I guess feelings were hurt and egos were bruised and Dick Tracy threw his life away and the shooter will never eat pussy again as long as he lives.
So what do we have here. There's alot to unpack. There was no crime being committed whatsoever. Yet, Officer ID Checker is being lauded as the greatest hero since Old Hickory at the Battle of New Orleans. Extra kudos to the police commissioner for fighting back crocodile tears at the eulogy and saying how many lives the copper saved that night. Saved from what?
Alternate side of the street parking??? Then we have the entire population of the five boros and Long Island screaming that this never would have happened if we didn't have bail reform. While it's true, the brutha who pulled the trigger was a career criminal, he had gotten out of jail free and clear three fucking years ago. Now let's bring on the folks who blame every littering offense not ticketed on Defund the Police. They were out by the millions. Can you imagine trying to run a police department with a yearly budget of only 5 billion dollars? Inconceivable.
So this brings us to social media like Facebook and Reddit not to mention what's put out on the MSM on how police are being gunned down by the thousands. Fun fact: this was the first NYPD cop killing in TWO YEARS!!! Our officers can't be expected to put up with this for minimum wage (real quote). We need to bring the death penalty back but only for cop killers. I guess passing a civil service test makes you the most valuable asset in the state. The cops family showed which side they lie with politically when they invited Donald Trump to the wake. But of course he didn't go because it was a once in a lifetime photo-op. Oh noooo. The cops family got their mortgage paid off completely by some charity. There was a GoFundMe set up for the family that has raised close to a million dollars and growing. Traffic was fucked up beyond belief on Long Island all week long inconvenienceing tens of thousands of commuters. These sheep take it with a smile because it's the least they can do for the hero.
So mortgage payoffs, seven figure GoFundMe's, adulation that Derek Jeter would have been jealous of. Where does it stop? Why are people still so brainwashed that the police are our best and brightest and would gladly die for us?
