Lacey Evans tweeted a meme that seemed to deny or discount the existence of ADHD and autism. This is the type of thing that can blow up very quickly. People are already pissed and it likely won’t go away. This is a Twitter firestorm about to erupt here. And HHH wasn’t big on her in the first place. So you can expect the apology later today and we’ll be on the look out for a release by early next week. I can already write this apology, which surely will be that she fully sympathizes with those who have ADHD and autism and she was merely making a statement about how they are overly diagnosed and she is truly sorry for any harm she’s caused and this does not reflect who she is as a person.

“Gentleman” Jack Gallagher, who lost his NXT UK job and was essentially run out of the business in 2020 in the wake of the #SpeakingOut movement, made his MMA debut over the weekend. Using the name of Jack Claffey (his real name is Oliver Claffey), he lost in a first round TKO to Marlon Jones at Full Contact Contender 32, which aired on UFC Fight Pass.

WWE pulled D-Von Dudley from an ECW tribute show promoted by Rob Feinstein at the ECW Arena this weekend. As a producer, D-Von is allowed to accept outside bookings, but WWE reserves the right to review them. D-Von was scheduled to accompany Billy Ray to ringside for his match against Matt Cardona. More importantly, he was to appear at an autograph signing with Bully in which fans prepaid for signed Team 3-D merchandise. D-Von was said to be surprised and upset by the last minute cancellation. More details coming out about this. D-Von went through John Cone in Talent Relations, who approved the booking. Bruce Prichard stepped in at the last minute and had an issue with it. D-Von, who is universally considered one of the stand up guys in the business, basically said he committed himself based on the prior approval and was going to do it. Prichard threw a bitch fit and went to HHH, and the bottom line is that D-Von was told if he went ahead with the booking he would be fired. It’s not clear why Prichard had this big an issue with the booking, but at the end of the day HHH made the call to side with him instead of D-Von.

While Raw was doing a "Best Of" show tonight, WWE returned to MSG.
WWE at Madison Square Garden results (courtesy Mike Johnson):
*Sheamus & Ridge Holland defeated Imperium in a real good 10 minute tag team bout when Sheamus pinned Fabian Aichner with The Brogue Kick. Holland was worked over for a big part of the bout to set up the hot tag. This was the MSG debut for everyone but Sheamus.
*Hit Row defeated Legado Del Fantasma in a six person tag when Ashante pinned Joaquin Wilde. Lots of antics with B-Fab and Zelina Vega. Vega at one point jumped on Top Dolla's back and was rotated around several times. She sent Fab into the steps. There was a huge family and friends contingent for Hit Row for their MSG debut. Vega gave a ringside kid grief after the bout. Dolla appeared to be limping a bit after the match but that might have been selling. Ashante showed a lot of promise as an in-ring worker. Legado were really good heels.
*Jinder Mahal cut a promo saying he was upset he was disrespected he wasn't in the ladder match later for the Intercontinental title. He challenged anyone to face him. Out came Bray Wyatt to a huge pop. Crowd chanted "This is awesome" chant at the bell. Mahal had both knees taped up. They battled on floor and Bray was cut off returning to ring. He quickly made a comeback and scored the pin with Sister Abigail.
*WWE Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER defeated Kofi Kingston vs. Madcap Moss vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Santos Escobar in a Ladder Match. Towards the end of the bout, Kofi nailed a stomp off the ladder, driving Santos down and after he went to the floor, WWE medical hopped the rail to check on him. He was walked out after the bout by Jamie Noble. This was a well worked ladder match. Lots of GUNTHER vs. Nakamura early. Kofi dove over a bridged Ladder at ringside and hit a tornado DDT on the floor on GUNTHER. The finish saw Moss get chopped off the Ladder, leaving GUNTHER to aim the title.
Karrion Kross pinned Drew Gulak. This was a damn good match with lots of solid wrestling. After the bout, Kross hopped the rail to embrace an older woman sitting ringside. The word was it was his grandmother. This was one of the best Kross matches since he returned.
*Liv Morgan defeated Shayna Baszler in a NYC Street Fight after hitting her with a top rope leg drop onto a table, which did not break. Morgan got some of the biggest pops of the night for her entrance and big moves. Steel chair and Singapore Cane used during the bout. Crowd loved all of this.
Then, it was main event time. Braun Strowman came out alone and said he was going to teach The Bloodline and Sami Zayn a lesson and told him to come out. Sami came out and said he wasn't coming alone, introducing The Usos. MASSIVE pop for the Usos coming out with Solo Sikoa. You would have thought it was John Cena coming out. It was just an insanely loud, sustained pop. Zayn claimed he was not medically cleared to compete so it would be Braun vs. Solo Sikoa, who was making his MSG debut. They battled back and forth and it was two big men trying to fight it out. Braun finally went for a powerslam but the rest of the Bloodline swarmed him and they beat him down in the ring. The referee ran the bell.
Kevin Owens made the save to his theme song and cleared the ring. Owens ripped The Bloodline on the mic and said he's been trying to figure out Sami's connection to them forever and finally realized that Sami keeps saying they are his dogs because Sami was their b**ch. He challenged them to fight and then mocked them, asking if they had to call Roman to made a decision.
It then turned it into a non-title Tag match with The Usos vs. Braun and Owens. Braun and Kevin Owens got the win in a match that was designed to very much please the live audience. Strowman did the running around the ring train deal, which MSG loved. The finish came after Braun did the powerslam as Kevin hit did the stunner and they scored the pin. Everyone went home happy and the villains were vanquished for the night, even thought New York loved them, too!
Notes: Neither Triple H nor Stephanie McMahon were there for the first-ever post Vince McMahon MSG live event...There were a LOT of travel issues getting folks to NYC for the show and some talents were called at the last minute to come in. LA Knight, Drew McIntyre, Butch, Maximum Male Models, Ricochet, and Los Lotharios were at different points slated to be in NYC for the show. Some talents and staff had to be rerouted to Newark and other airports to get into town as there are still so many flight issues locally here after the winter storm that hit Christmas weekend...Michael Hayes, Jason Jordan, Adam Pearce and Molly Holly were backstage producing and running the event...Sam Roberts was at the event...WWE sold a special Holiday Tour shirt as well as a New York 3:16 shirt at the event. They also had shirts for Seth Rollins, Rey Mysterio masks and even Up Up Up Down Down replica belts...the word-traveled Kevin Gill of many promotions commentary fame was in the house....Lots and lots of Bloodline and Cena shirts in the crowd....The infamous Ringside Charlie was, well, ringside....WWE will return to MSG with a Raw & Smackdown Supershow on Sunday 3/12. The pre-sale code for the event at Ticketmaster.com is WWEMSG.

I chuckle at the idea of Braun Strowman doing his choo-choo train spot in MSG, thinking about those 70s and 80s cards where ringside was littered with NYSAC cronies and effectively making any good spots on the floor ineffectual. Someone was always clumsily bumping the bell which would mess up the flow of numerous bouts, often at the most inopportune moments.
There is no more Fabian Eichner, right? He became Ludwig Kaiser and is Axel Dieter's son if I have it correct. Their post-match meal is making the Tweetworthy list:

Cheers mate! Ed

One of the proposed Royal Rumble surprises has been ruined as WWE wanted boxer Tyson Fury to enter and he agreed, but he’s having trouble getting a visa due to his links to known Irish mobsters, most notably Daniel Kinahan, who is a mob boss and Fury’s good friend. Fury has appeared on several WWE shows overseas. It now seems unlikely he’ll be able to enter America in time to compete.

Given that Dragon Lee and Rush are brothers, I can see this being the source of some shithousery between WWE and AEW, or at least the source of rumors of shithousery.

Is it just me or is Rush not that good? There was this crazy bidding war over him between ROH and MLW where both promised to build the company around him and he chose MLW only to renege and go to ROH, which caused a big tiff. Then he got this mega-push in ROH where he was basically an undefeated World champion. I never saw it then, and I don't see it now that he's mostly lost in the mid-card shuffle of AEW. His work, look, charisma are all totally blah to me. Dragon Lee is definitely the more interesting brother. And his matches against Hiromu Takahashi were out of this world. It's interesting that they put him over FTR for the AAA Tag belts on the night he announces his departure. I also wonder what the greater plan is for FTR in 2023 now that they're on this big losing streak and jobbing to everyone. I guess it's all but guaranteed they're dropping the IWGP Tag titles to Bishamon at Wrestle Kingdom too.

My gut feeling is that AAA are hoping that they can get the Karl Anderson deal and get a match with WWE's Dragon Lee and "AEW's" Dralistico teaming together on a big AAA card.
