The match where Bray beat Orton for the strap was a decent match, if not for the wrestling but for how over he was with the crowd. The crowd was on fire to see him beat Orton. After that, the title defenses went flat.

Has he had any good matches in the last few years? Since he became The Fiend I can’t think of any, and most have been pretty awful. I remember him being a decent worker when he was Husky Harris, not clue what happened to that but I think that is long gone.

Was it any good? Probably not. He was pretty decent working with the Wyatt Family, but since becoming the Fiend, that Orton match is the only one I can say was "decent". They saddled him with Husky Harris because he's fat, but as you said, he brought his working boots then. IF you could combine him with his brother, you'd have a machine. But as it is, one got tons of in ring ability, the other got charisma.

Sources within WWE are saying “don’t miss Smackdown tonight”. There’s supposed to be a major angle, with unconfirmed rumors being that it could set up Reigns vs. Wyatt. It wasn’t Wyatt. It was the return of Cena (via video) to announce he and Owens vs. Reigns and Zayn on the last SD! of the year. He did not get a huge pop at all and internally WWE has always over-estimated how excited the rest of us are to see him.

Reports everywhere today that inside sources say HHH is “severely underwhelmed” by the performances and attitudes of some of the released stars he’s brought back. He didn’t mention names but the easy targets are Hit Row and Braun Strowman, and the booking certainly seems to be a message loud and clear that they’re in trouble. Top Dolla getting trolled mercilessly for his big botch last night with memes of a disappointed HHH. Even Cole mocked him on the spot by saying “…And that’s why he doesn’t do that very often.”

Cena has always been hokey but his time away has done him no favors as his promo felt even more rehearsed than in the past. I’m sure Smackdown will pull in a larger than average rating but I don’t see it being out of this world.

Who booked a Tribute to the Troops main event of McIntyre, Sheamus, and Ricochet vs. Imperium? There’s literally 1 American in that match.

World War 2 allies against the Axis powers? Well, it would be if they had Butch rather than Sheamus, given the Irish wussed out.

WWE pulled D-Von Dudley from an ECW tribute show promoted by Rob Feinstein at the ECW Arena this weekend. As a producer, D-Von is allowed to accept outside bookings, but WWE reserves the right to review them. D-Von was scheduled to accompany Billy Ray to ringside for his match against Matt Cardona. More importantly, he was to appear at an autograph signing with Bully in which fans prepaid for signed Team 3-D merchandise. D-Von was said to be surprised and upset by the last minute cancellation.

Punishment for his sons wrestling for AEW at the weekend?

Punishment for his sons wrestling for AEW at the weekend? That would be a very Vince thing to do so hopefully that’s not still happening. It’s also nonsensical because D-Von’s kids have been available for years and WWE has never shown any interest in them. They couldn’t even stick with Impact so maybe they’re just just not any good. It would be silly to punish D-Vin because of that.

Now Bronson Reed is back and on Raw too.

Now Bronson Reed is back and on Raw too. How can Triple H not see that this guy is completely unsuited to WWE? He'll end up very quickly becoming a "monster" used to put over much smaller wrestlers. He can't connect with an audience in a way that you need to to be successful in WWE.

Honestly, I think it's that he didn't want any of his people working for Feinstein just in case the press made a stink about his appearance on the Scott Hanson show.
