Damn that is a tough call, there have been so many great board games that I have been exposed to. My favorite would have changed many times over the years based on availability of time to play of people to play with.
Chess is probably my all time favorite I suppose though the availability of time and people to play against has varied considerably over the years.
Monopoly of course and Trivial Pursuit during the time when it was really popular. Went through a Scrabble stage a couple times where I played alot.
Games like Risk or Settlers of Catan(just Catan now) were great because of the strategy involved.
Cribbage has been a big one off and on, mostly off now for many years.
And of course sports board games like Strat-O-Matic

No love for the wrestling game? Two friends and me went in on it together - sets 1 and 2 - and then held a draft and had had tournaments to crown major champions: NWA, AWA, WWF, US, Missouri, National, maybe one or two others. Bob Backlund was invincible for some reason.

I liked Risk and Monopoly. Ticket to Ride seems to be a newer popular one and I bought it for my son and it’s pretty fun. We’re teaching him Clue now but I never loved that game. I’ve spent hours playing Rack-O but I never hear many people talking about it. I also used to play chess with friends every Saturday night after shooting pool at the local billiards hall.

It's a great version and a very helpful Facebook group if you're looking for wrestlers.

Stratego, Dog Fight, Terrible Swift Sword. Jeez, that ran the spectrum from simplstic and quick to a small unit re enactment of the 3 day battle of Gettysburg that takes days to complete

Monopoly - there is no rule that allows money to be put in the middle of the board!

Haven’t played it since I was a kid, but I used to love Parcheesi.
My youngest son is a big fan of Battleship, we have played it for years and he still enjoys a good game or two when we have downtime.

I enjoy Monopoly but nobody else in the family will play because it takes so long.
My son is a big Dungeons and Dragons fan thanks to Stranger Things. I have never played D&D in my life but fortunately there are a lot of places nearby (library, game shops, etc) that have D&D nights. I expect that the D&D craze might grow after the new movie comes to theaters.
