Note: The last card before virtually entire crew walked out to form All South Wrestling was in Macon on November 21, 1972. All the wrestlers boycotted the Columbus, GA card on November 22, 1972 except Bob Armstrong, who stayed loyal in a major boon to his career, & Rock Hunter. Hunter joined the breakaway group but was unaware of the boycott due to missing the meeting earlier that day at which it was arranged. The big Thanksgiving show in Atlanta on November 24, 1972 only took place after the NWA sent in wrestlers from across the country to fill out the card. Jack Brisco, Hiro Matsuda, & Robert Fuller were among those who came in. All South ran its first card soon afterward.

At the time of the split, television announcer Ed Caprel went with everyone to All South. The television show was hosted by Sterling Brewer who was a former City Councilman & advertising guy from Birmingham. Brewer was also the TV announcer for Nick Gulas in Birmingham on TV 42.

Note: This was the only match after a boycott of the remaining scheduled wrestlers. Bob Armstrong & Rock Hunter were the only two in attendance to wrestle. Fred Ward announced to the crowd ahead of the match that all money would be returned whether fans decided to stay or leave. He offered no explanation as to the whereabouts of the other wrestlers scheduled. Earlier in the day, a private meeting was held in Atlanta said to be led by Ann Gunkel, Tom Renesto, Assassin #2, Dick Steinborn, & Charlie Harben. Known to be in attendance were Ed Capral, Charlie Smith, Ted & Jerry Oates, Ox Baker, Argentina Apollo, Oki Shikina, Jesse James, Skandor Akbar, Tommy Seigler, El Mongol, the Hollywood Blonds, Wayne Cowan, Joe Turner, Bill Bowman, Roberto Soto, The Avenger, Krusher Karlson, & Derrell Cochran. During the meeting, the leaders made it clear they were forming a new promotion, to be called the All-South Wrestling Alliance. Of those in attendance, the only one to stay with the Atlanta NWA office was Derrell Cochran. Not in attendance at the meeting, but also deciding to remain with the NWA side after learning of the news, were Bob Armstrong & Roy Lee Welch. Rock Hunter was also not in attendance at the meeting, & is said to not have heard that there would be a boycott of the Columbus card that evening. Jerry Oates had decided to join All-South, but returned to the Atlanta NWA office within weeks of his departure.

Note: This card was the first following the mass departure of the regular roster of talent the promotion had been using. Much of the talent came on one-day notice to help fill out the card. The one-page program for this card announced that Bill Watts, Danny Hodge, Dory Funk, Jr., Bobo Brazil, Sputnik Monroe, Flash Monroe, Fritz Von Erich, Nick Bockwinkel, Jay Strongbow, Buddy Colt, & Ron Fuller would be wrestling in Atlanta soon. It was announced that Fred Ward had held up the Macon Tag Team Title due to an unruly match on November 21, 1972, between champions Tommy Seigler & Argentina Apollo & the Hollywood Blonds. Seigler & Apollo had been the reigning Macon Tag Team Champions since they beat Rocket Monroe & Skandor Akbar on November 14, 1972, in Macon. Of course, in reality, he was declaring the title vacant as all four men had unexpectedly defected to the All-South Wrestling Alliance since that card.
