In one of the lesser known mags, I'm guessing it was Wrestling World or Wrestling Scene, I read an article about Marcel Bovee and Mike Boyette. Boyette was a wrestler & Bovee was his insane manager. He claimed he could talk to rocks and all kinds of strange shit. One of them might have worn a vampire type cape. It seems like there was at least one other guy in the stable.
I'm pretty sure this was in 1984, possibly 1983. I'm wondering where this took place.
I'm not sure I'm spelling Bovee's name right, and there's a WWF jobber named Marshall Bovee, but I don't think that's the same guy.
Is this ringing a bell for anyone else? I've never heard of him outside of this one article.

The spelling I remember is Marcial Bovee, and he got a bunch of press in that early 1980s magazine called Official Wrestling, a smaller publication that came out about 6 times a year and used Saul Weingeroff's name as the editor. Bovee was a manager in Arizona for many years and was the same guy who got TV matches with WWF. You may have seen him writing many articles in magazines and fan bulletins over the years under his real name of Dale Pierce. In the 90s he changed his gimmick to The Time Traveler and still managed Arizona-based indie talent. He passed away a few years ago after moving to the Ohio area, which I believe is where he lived before coming to Arizona.

I think it was in Arizona because he was billed as Mad Dog Marcial Bovee, and I recall that nickname from the article.
