I've watched some clips of the DiBiase podcast in the past. It's so frustrating. He was there for the glory years of the WWF. He was in Mid-South/UWF in the hottest period Watts ever had, and he had a cup of coffee in the NWA/Crockett area on big shows. He's always been highly regarded as a good, if not great, speaker. You would tend to believe he would be able to think on his feet and formulate insightful answers and opinions on questions on this podcast. But he doesn't. His memory seems to be lacking on certain stories, but he even struggles on giving reasons or opinions when the host lays all of the facts out for him. Ted sort of bombed as a heel announcer for Vince after he retired, and his stint as a manager with the Million Dollar Corp and then in the NWO isn't really looked back on favorably. I wonder if he just can't think on his feet and only did well on pre-rehearsed interviews? On this clip, the host asks him a couple of questions about WM9's finish, and Ted just stumbles through the first question and then has to ponder the second. At some point, the host might want to consider throwing in the towel on this one.

Not going to watch this but I think you're onto something. A complete bust as both an announcer and a manager for the Million-Dollar Corporation and the NWO. Maybe he just played that character (highly scripted) well, but can't actually talk.

I think I was not the only one surprised by how bad Ted was as a manager. Thought he'd fit in perfectly. He didn't.
Not going to listen to his podcast but will throw in that Bob Roop has a fairly new podcast that is decent. Good memory and he has a different outlook than most people.
He did a couple of shows recently about wrestling in Iraq that are especially good, if a little long winded at times.

I was in the minority even back in the late 1970’s & early 1980’s. I was never impressed with Dibiase when it came to his mic skills. I thought the Millionaire gimmick and The Laugh was too gimmicky for me. So, this is not surprising about his podcast. Great wrestling skills but nothing great on the mic.

I listen to this podcast fairly regularly, and sometimes I'm amazed at the things Ted doesn't remember. I'm pretty sure on one episode he made a comment that led me to believe he totally forgot that Virgil had a face run after his initial match ups with him.

He had a book out in the initial wave of wrestler autobiogs - I never got it but I understand it was pretty bad, quite a bit of God-bothering.

Eric Bischoff joining the NWO totally killed off DiBiase's role. Some of his shows are okay. They're short and to the point. I'm a big fan of the Chael Sonnen persona, but his podcasts are unnecessarily long. It takes him 15 minutes to tell a 5-minute story.
