This thread will be 'pinned' at the top of the forum and be used to remember those that entertained us.
Everyone is different and some will like this board or that board, or this news source vs that news source. In the end, whether we are oldtime fans or fans of today, we the fans, and the wrestlers, managers, announcers, etc are all interlinked as part of the same family. And when we lose one, it is a loss as a family.
Your remembrances should be posted in a respectful, 'eulogy' style post.

The first person I'd like to list would be Jim Zordani, one of the founders of our site, a booking sheets genius, and devoted Cubs fan.
Ken Timbs, one of the nicest guys I've met on the fake wrestling interweb, I also had the pleasure to talk to a bunch in real-life. OSW was a great place with Kenny, and not very good without him.

Ken Timbs was the first and always the one that hit closest to home as he remains the nicest "worker" I've ever interacted with on these boards. Hard to believe it's been so many years since he passed and so many years since OSW has even existed.
Trying to make a list of other message board posters no longer with us but my memory isn't that great for this kind of thing.

With Jimmy Z. I want to add Ox Baker.
Ox was one of Jimmy's favorites and when they met twice they really hit it off and we had a lot of fun seeing them taking photos together and all.

Grew up watching the AWA and still miss it to this day.
If this thread is more meant to honor those that have passed that had an online presence then I would mention the name,
Jim Mandl-wrestling historian and longtime poster at KM and elsewhere.

Brian Pillman. I never liked Flyin' Brian, until his series with Jushin Liger. They did spots at a house show in the Meadowlands that were so insane we could see Stan Hansen watching through the curtain.
From the Hollywood Blonds period to the end of his life, I will say he was as entertaining as Ric Flair was from 85-89. He was at the top of everybody's game.

As far as posters no longer with us Jim, Randy Mikell(loadedboot originally from MS) and Mark from Wa were some of the nicest folks I have run across in my 20 years on the old Intrawebz. I learned to be guarded online but those three were folks I corresponded with in some fashion so I got to know them better than I do most. They were good folks and the World is worse off for their loss.

The Chicago contingent will likely have more to say but George Gunderson (GeorgeG) on the old KM board is worth recalling. He was a CAC reunion visitor in the early 2000's but I didn't connect with him. He passed shortly after getting a life membership, sadly.

RIP to Eddie Einhorn, the man who created TVS and through it promoted and syndicated the IWA in the mid 1970s. In the mid 1980s he used his connections in the sports TV world to get the AWA on ESPN. TVS in its day aired college basketball, college football bowl games and all star games, the WFL, auto racing, golf, tennis, pro wrestling, and other events. Einhorn later ran CBS Sports and then became part owner of the White Sox. He also tried, but failed to get a network TV contract for the USFL's ill fated fall season in 1986. He was a pro wrestling promoter and fan who attended the CAC on at least one occasion and donated the Jack Pfefer papers and files to Notre Dame's library for preservation.

Harry White, St. Louis area super fan who passed away this week. Great writer with an ultra dry sesnse of humor. You could always count on his recaps of events to be thoroughly funny and accurate.

RIP Juanita Ford. Long time poster, mainly over at KM, I guess is where i saw most of her work. She of the Country music lyrics, hysterically misspelled posts and an undying infatuation for all things Paul Orndorff(Ordorff) and Bautista.

I hope this doesn't cross the line, but according to this she owned a music promotion company. I've read her posts and find that hard to believe. I remember the she tried to promote Yahoo Groups for wrestlers and expected to be paid for it even though she spelled their names wrong.
Anyone have any info?

One old poster I miss, not sure if he ever posted here. But he was a regular on the old KM board and WCMB was Mark from WA. He was always a pleasure to chat with online.
With Mark I actually knew him outside of the message boards. Knew him before the message boards actually, as we lived not too far away from each other. Would run into one another at shows and would trade tapes or chat on the phone. I knew his health wasn't the greatest, but didn't realize he was in that poor of health. Had bumped into him at a concert a month or so before he passed away.
Really a nice guy.

If Mark from WA isn't in here already then I'm glad he is now. Probably one of the smallest handful of people that nobody ever had a bad word to say about, and that's saying something in the history of interweb rasslin boards.

Mark from WA is mentioned a couple of times on page 1. I hope we didn't lose anyone else in 2017 since this hasn't been updated in a long time, but there are a ton of posters who were active here even 2-3 years ago who never post anymore. Where are HarryG, Mick, BayouBoogie, Tofu Chipmunk, etc.?

HBF is super busy. His oldest went to college this year. I get the busy thing. I was working 60+ hours per week for a while and didn't post here for like 5 years. Eric (and Beej) is the one who actually led me back.

Yeah, a lot of people left without even saying goodbye. LOL
Tofu Chipmunk went from one of the best posters to being non-existant.

I've been listening to episodes of between the sheets with zellner and bix and in the intro to episode 10 some nice words were said about Claw.

HBF is super busy. His oldest went to college this year. I get the busy thing. I was working 60+ hours per week for a while and didn't post here for like 5 years. Eric (and Beej) is the one who actually led me back.

Les Thornton dead at 84
"The well-traveled Les Thornton, former NWA World junior heavyweight champion, has died. He was 84 years old. His wife, Terry, posted the news Facebook: "It is with great sadness we share that Les Thornton peacefully took his leave on February 1, 2019 at 11:15 am, with his devoted wife, Terry at his side." ...
Born in Salford, England, Thornton put in 34 years into the pro wrestling business.
"I broke in the business in 1957 and I didn't come to the States until 1970," he told this writer in 2004. Previous to that, he played professional rugby for 12 years. A few other colleagues went from rugby to wrestling, including Pete Viller, who worked as Pat Curry, and Tommy "Time Bomb" Murthy..."

He wasn't a person known to this board but to those in the independent community in the tri-state area, a lot of folks know this man. Lyle Williams was my friend who was a photographer for CZW among other promotions. He passed away last night after having Kidney & Renal cell cancer. Kevin Owens posted a nice memory of Lyle last night and a picture of them together backstage for CZW or ROH on Twitter.

Wrestling lost a huge fan today. I hadn’t seen Lyle Williams in many years but I still remember his kindness and enthusiasm for this industry.
He took a lot of pride in capturing moments from every show he could make it to and sharing them with everyone.
He will be missed.

I didn't know if he posted regularly at the old OSW forum, but when I first joined (around 2004) I remember reading a few posts from John Tenta a.k.a. Earthquake, and he would be giving us updates on his bladder cancer which he later died from. Not sure if he was actually a member or someone was quoting him from elsewhere....but RIP Earthquake.

Did anyone run into this guy on the IWC?
PWInsider:
Jahmale Hepburn, widely known as RealHero12089 online, passed away over the weekend, Chris Hero confirmed on Twitter last night.
I’m shocked and brokenhearted to tell you that our friend Jahmale Hepburn, otherwise known as @realhero12089, passed away over the weekend. Jahmale was smart, funny and he was SO devoted to finding & sharing rare wrestling footage to the world.
— Chris Hero (Is Back) (@chrishero) August 13, 2021
In the early 2010s when New Japan Pro Wrestling was not accessible to an international audience, Hepburn uploaded footage from the company onto Dailymotion. He opened the door for existing and new fans alike to discover, learn and watch new things and his influence cannot be overstated.
He continued to share countless hours of Japanese wrestling content – for free – on other video sharing platforms such as Vimeo and YouTube, until as recently as this month.
There has been an outpouring of appreciation and sadness from fans and wrestlers alike in the wake of his passing.
RIP @realhero12089 dude was an incredible help to all of us in the wrestling business. Your legacy won’t be forgotten. ??
— The World Famous CB (@cheeseburgerroh) August 13, 2021
RIP @realhero12089
Thank you for your friendship, the chats about wrestling, hip hop, basketball and politics. It meant a lot.

Man that was the homie…. He always would just send me mad messages of encouragement at random times…. This one sucks…

— JONAH (@bronsonreedwwe) August 13, 2021
RIP @realhero12089
Man that was the homie…. He always would just send me mad messages of encouragement at random times…. This one sucks…

Seth Hanson died yesterday (or at least it made the rounds last night). Didn't he post here at one time?

Didn't know that was his handle. Not to be confused with the Wrestling Collector that (I think) posts here occasionally and makes some dynamite WWF old school compilations.

I think they are one and the same. Either that or I am wrong.
I believe Seth posted videos on Youtube then posted them here and then the Youtube channel got shut down then the names started changing?

Seth Hanson was results guy. Posted a lot on Facebook and Twitter. Clawmaster sometimes gave him credit in his results.

Seven years today since Jim Zordani aka clawmaster passed. I think he'd be very happy to see all that has been contributed here. When I find information that helps explain something from one of his original posts, I tend to quote his entry because it allows me to bring him back into the conversation in a small way.
Kudos to beej for not folding up the tent and soldiering onward. Claw may not have craved the attention, but he deserves all the accolades that have been sent to him.

I had no idea it was the anniversary of his passing, but I was just reading reading some private messages on this board we had set back and forth over the years. Some were pretty humorous.

Glen Rylko passed away today in Oak Lawn, IL. He was a member of Jimmy Z.'s Illinois Boys group. He posted under the name of Gil Wilcox. I have to say he was a great guy and I made a lot of trips with both him and Jim to various wrestling functions. Our favorite was a long car trip to Minneapolis to see the old AWA guys at a Kenny Jay benefit some years ago. The highlight of the trip was Jimmy almost blowing up a gas pump with Glen taking photos of it instead of doing something. LOL.

Jim's sister sent me a message this morning and I am glad Rich and khawk posted here, although it wouldn't have been misplaced if he got his own thread somewhere. You guys knew him much better than I did and we never met, but he checked in every so often and was always cool. Last month he sent word that his mother was turning 92. Farewell Glen

This one hurts.
I never met Gil. Only traded messages with him once or twice many years ago. But I've seen his name all over the boards for the past 20+ years, from KF to Classics to the Chicago Wrestling board. He was a keeper. A definite wealth of knowledge and an old "AWA guy".
Rest in Peace.

Ironically the last person to post in this thread was Stingmark, although in typical Stingmark fashion he incorrectly used it. lol
Now we add Stingmark's name to the list of message board posters who have passed on.
