Does anybody for a minute believe that Ohtani wasn't gambling? To think that a bookie would meet a total stranger who is a slightly chubby Japanese guy making less than $100K per year with no true investments and no property and extend him a line of credit that is $4.5 Million strong and NOT ask him to pay up at some point or another? No, there isn't a bookie alive that would allow that because he's not even worth making an example of. But that line of credit would definitely be extended to Ohtani, especially if he went a few months losing significant money and can prove that he can pay it. I think it's total bullshit that they are allowing him to play without investigating. Look at all of the supposed "domestic violence" claims against ballplayers who ended up missing significant chunks of time, and the only one that was proven to be guilty was the Closer on the Pirates that was banging a 14 year old girl. Ohtani is guilty as fuck and I want to see him on the restricted list STAT.

I believe it actually will be devastating to the MLB PR wise if the rumors of it being Shohei doing the actual gambling, especially when they are in cahoots with Draft Kings and such.

It was just announced that Ohtani is retiring from baseball to try to make it in his real life-long passion of basketball. This is completely unrelated to the gambling though.

Have they murdered his dad yet? Or his wife, the one that looks like one of Kenny Omega's choices to push in the AEW Wimmins division.

A pretty good line that I heard recently was that Pete Rose had 4,256 hits and was only one interpreter shy of the Hall of Fame.

The Feds are investigating now, which diminishes the chance that MLB is involved in any cover-up to protect Ohtani.

Heard the guy spent 300k on ebay buying baseball cards. I find that funny. That's the rumor, but the way shit is overpriced right now it could be one or two cards. It's another form of gambling. A Wander Franco was bought 2 years ago for $200,000 and the guy hadn't done shit on a baseball field- the same can't be said for in a high school parking lot.

Wander can't do anything on the field behind bars.
