It’s happening. People will laugh but this will probably do monster business. Is this the state of boxing today? Who wins? Any chance of a good fight? How badly does Tyson tarnish his legacy if he loses?

It will air live on Netflix, which is a first for them. Netflix is definitely expanding and entering new terrain, especially in sports. I would expect WWE to be asked to promote the shit out of it too. Maybe even run an angle on Raw given Tyson’s history with WWE and with Logan Paul being there.

Tyson is 57 years old, I can’t imagine his reflexes or ability to take a solid punch being too good, no matter how great he was 30 years ago.

Don't you have to pass some kind of medical to get a boxing licence? Or are they able to bend the rules, or call it an exhibition, so that it's not technically boxing? Boxing promoters have really fucked up now that this kind of stuff is way more popular than actual WBO/WBA etc boxing.

On Netflix? Good! My subscription price just went down to 6.99 and now something interesting to watch.

I saw Tyson sparring, and he looked pretty good, but he's still 57 or 58. I'm hoping he knocks this kid out, but with the age disparity, that might be wishful thinking. If nothing else, I'm glad to see Tyson getting a good payday without Don King in his pocket.

He's won big fights before when everyone thought he'd get his ass kicked. At Tyson's age, I don't like his chances. There's certain muscle memory things that will serve him well that he still has, even if it's at half speed, but Paul can fight. Then of course there's the possibility that it's a work. Tyson winning doesn't serve anyone well because he's done, but Paul can keep having these huge fights for the next decade if he keeps winning. So I wouldn't at all be surprised if Tyson isn't being paid to take a dive.

When Paul hit him with a bullshit punch, Woodley acted like he was going to need the hospital to get him out of his coma. So while I would agree with you that Paul is "fairly legit", he's also not completely legit. I have seen enough of him to believe he could beat legit boxers that aren't that great. But it's' tough to fight the guy that not only makes up the fight but also makes up the rules. He has fully protected himself with headgear and circus sized gloves for the Tyson fight.

There are no officials judging each round. You can only win by tko or ko.
Right now Tyson is +115 I'm going with him.

I've never seen Paul fight, but weren't most of his earlier high profile fights fixed? Didn't he beat some big names that were way over the hill under some questionable circumstances?

I may need to watch that again because it looked like Woodley got legit clocked.
