Gino “The Handsome Halfbreed” Hernandez
Paul “Mr. Wonderful” Orndorff
Who was the better heel out of these two villains dripping with arrogance?
Do you put Orndorff over Hernandez just because he was a star in the WWF when pro wrestling went off of the charts? Or, even though Hernandez was more of a regional star, he excelled at being the cocky heel?
Which heel did you prefer or which did you think was better in his role?

Tough call. I think Gino was better on the mic and his mannerisms screamed arrogant. Orndorff was a different type of heel.

When it comes to mic skills it's no contest and definitely Gino, but while Orndorff was not as good on mic he did have an aura about him that put him in main event status without winning any titles in the WWE.

I agree. Gino was arrogant in the braggy way that made you want to slap him in the mouth. Kind of the spoiled brat vibe. He was going to talk a lot of shit and then run when the heat came down. Orndorff was arrogant, but with a tough guy vibe that made you think he could back it up. He was going to talk shit and then punch you in the mouth to back it up.

I was thinking 'Hercules Hernandez' when I opened this.
I didn't see much of Gino Hernandez so I'll go with Mr #1derful

I know it’s been talked about many times in the past, but it’s amazing to think about what could have been in late ‘86 and into ‘87 and ‘88 with Gino. He would have been a perfect fit in the Crockett territory. To that end, he’d be almost a *perfect* fit as one of the Horseman, moreso than what Luger or Windham ever were. You have to wonder if Gino would have joined them in late ‘86 and pushed Ole out. Maybe Tully and Gino get the big tag-team push. Arm stays strictly as a singles guy. Luger comes in as a face immediately. Lots of possibilities that would have freshened things up.
