01/05 Winnipeg, MB beat Dan Redmond
Was this match a part of a T.V. taping or some Independent card. I went to everything AWA back then as well as most Independent cards in the city and for the life of me this does not ring a bell.

I've seen the name Dan Redman before, and he was always on one of the job crews brought in for Minneapolis TV tapings. One idea is the match was broadcast in Winnipeg on that date. The AWA thread should have listings of TV cards as they aired in select markets like the Twin Cities and Davenport/Moline. If you find a Nick vs. Redman match in the weeks prior to this date, it may be the same TV bout with its placement on the bicycle of tapes for the timeframe.

Was just thrown off by the fact Winnipeg was listed and Redmond instead of Redman who I knew was a semi regular punching bag on TV. The date was a Saturday which is how it got listed as happening in Winnipeg as that's when the match would have aired. 8/12/79 Minneapolis TV Nick Bockwinkel beat Dan Redman Super Destroyer Mark II beat Rich Winters Steve Olsonoski beat Juan Zapata George Gadaski beat Peter Lee Arena Tape from 7/15 Greg Gagne beat AWA Champion Nick Bockwinkel dq
