So, I didn't even know this was a thing until like a year ago wjen I stumbled across a YouTube video. It got me interested and I bought a few beaters of the old LJN figures, Hogans, Pipers, Shiek and watched a few YouTube tutorials. A year later and I've done like 40 of these f'n things lol. Muracos, Orndorffs, etc. I do it mainly as a relaxation techniques where I can block noise out and concentrate on painting. There's a whole subculture. People who 3D print accessories, heads that you mold to existing bodies to make new wrestlers, etc. I attached a few pics of ones I did recently. Attachments:

That's pretty cool.
A Bockwinkel with the inmate AWA belt and Heenan at his side would be pretty excellent.

Those are incredible, NY.
This is a bit eerie, because I just came across a Facebook group this past week that has guys who clean these up and repaint them, but none of that work was as impressive as this.
Just curious - do you need to strip the paint off of these completely before you begin the repainting process or can you put a base coat over whatever you have to begin with? Also, do you do any remolding if the figs are damaged or are these basically beyond repair?
Great stuff. It's even relaxing to look at these.

Love the Sheik's big green Backlund belt.
The Hogan "American Made" fig up above might be my favorite. These are outstanding.

Some I may paint over or lay a base coat of white or skin tone. Depends on the color. If I use a dark color, I can usually just paint over.
