Taylor Is there a Portland thread? Spatulapup No. I think the only areas we don't have threads for are Portland and World Class. There are great threads for everywhere else. cman73 I can start adding some Portland and world class stuff if people are interested. I know quite a bit is it on wrestlingdata but I have some that they may not have yet. cman73 My files only start at 1978 and onward, as that's the time frame I'm interested in. WrestlingData.com has tons of cards prior to 1978. Most, if not all of the Portland results came from RATNW, but Portland is also available online through 1987, I believe, so I tried to confirm as much as I could. I was able to find a lot of new Salem and Eugene cards online (WrestlingData also has many of them as well), in addition to some spot shows in the various papers. I'll try to add more when time allows. Any additions and corrections are most definitely welcomed!

Portland (the city) results on wrestlingdata are good from 1933 up to April 1973. That's as far as I have got so far. The original source for the results (the RATNW guy who posted his results on here some months back) had most of the dates wrong in Portland (not by much, the correct week, but most of them were out buy a day or so), and I was going through and fixing them and correcting the cards when necessary.

I tried also to confirm the dates in my file as well, but some may still be incorrect. I know they typically ran on Saturday's for TV, then Tuesday's every now and then. Was also using WrestlingData and the online papers to confirm a lot of blank city information for the Northwest Titles from the 50's to the 70's, to help Hisa out with his Wrestling-Titles site. I was finding that many of his dates were off, or the champions weren't champions at the time. But, that goes back to the Wrestling Title history books that were printed back in the 90's. I wish I still kept those but sadly had to part with them several years back. I have a lot of it updated in my files, just haven't sent it to him yet.
For the city of Portland, Saturday's were when TV was taped and then depending on how hot business was they would run Tuesday specials.
Prior to Don Owen purchasing the Portland Sports Arena in October of 1968, Don ran the Portland Armory every Friday and Monday. They would also run Monday's at the Labor Temple. During the 1960's Don would occasionally run big shows in Portland at the 12,000 seat Memorial Coliseum. Between the closure of the Portland Armory and moving into the Portland Sports Arena, Don would also use the Convention Hall that was a small building located at the Memorial Coliseum.
