Probably not much.
Up against Iowa / Caitlyn Clark. I don't think she ever has a bad game. Can shoot and does. From anywhere.
I have no clue what these college girls are protesting though

Head coach said it was nothing but routine. They always head back to lockerroom 12 minutes before game starts. Don't sound right to me. I think they left court because some sportswriter wrote an article that the LSU team was the evil team in a good vs evil meeting.

Apparently the routine thing is real and it has coincided with other anthems before. Without anyone actually coming out to talk about what they might have been protesting right after it makes no sense for it to have been staged. Btw the newspaper reporter apologized for the story and how he wrote it. I can’t imagine that’s going over well with newspaper reporters in general.

Is there a reason for having the anthem before every sporting occasion? Never been anywhere else in the world where that happens, other than for Cup finals or international/global contests (e.g. Grands Prix).

I have been saying for years before Trump that they should eliminate the anthem at sporting events. Just looking for trouble.

Sounds like 'intentionally avoiding the national anthem' is an every game thing

It had been played on occasion prior to Major League Baseball games going back to the early 20th century but became de rigueur during WWII, and the practice continued thereafter.

That’s when most teams started televising it, and in baseball they had to have patriot porn during the 7th inning stretch too instead of the goofy stuff they used to do then. The more rights they took away from us, the more we had to celebrate.

The Anthem at the old Chicago Stadium was a real "Event" and part of the attraction to the Blackhawks games as the fans used to cheer and scream throughout it. It was pretty cool and preceded 9/11 by quite a while, circa the 1985 playoffs. 9/11 seemed to catch everyone else up though, but it was a thing in Chicago for a long time.
If you've never seen the Anthem from Chicago Stadium prior to the 1991 NHL All Star Game, held just a two days after the Gulf War started, it was amazing. Check it out.

Your people jumped right in too, khawk. The Oilers fans in particular, most famously during their 2006 Stanley Cup playoff run. Just remember that this was before they changed the words to be more tolerant, inclusive, stunning, and brave, so by watching video of it you're literally Hitler.

I was kinda hoping it would be at least noon before I committed my Worse Than Hitler act of the day. Now what am I gonna do with the rest of the day?
