My suggestion would be very simple. Stop talking about the brand split. You can book EXACTLY as you are now since it's just a soft split anyway, not the hard split they pretend it is once or twice a year. Just phase out mention of it. And then the Draft should just be Raw and Smackdown drafting 4 or 6 (2 or 3 each) NXT talents to call up each year. You know, like a real fucking draft. Then the only thing you have to remember to not fuck it up is to NOT call up NXT wrestlers at any other time during the year and just wait for April. Not too difficult I would hope. That would actually mean something and be a logical refresher of rosters after WM instead of this. It would also give NXT something to book around come WM season so they're not left out (you have to win big matches to get drafted).

I always thought they have to retain an illusion of separate rosters as part of the TV deals.

I always thought they have to retain an illusion of separate rosters as part of the TV deals. I'd assume that's true at this stage. And separate titles as well. But they don't need a draft to do that.

Yeah, I presume so too. I just don't like it and never have.
Srossi's idea makes sense. You draft NXT people. That's it.
Otherwise people may move/sign with the other brand at other times during the year. Like what happens anyway.
To me,the way they do this draft is a lazy and boring. Maybe some people love it.

Drew and Punk was fire again last night. Think once the feud ends it going to have to be in Hell in a cell.

The draft was a colossal waste of time and energy. No big names switched shows and very few people further down the ladder did either. Unless the former Vince led regime committed to its broadcast outlets that the WWE would have a draft and this was the current regime’s way of living up to that contractually but not spiritually because it has long term booking plans it doesn’t want to upset, what was the point?

It's the only time they ever made sense of someone being pissed that they were drafted behind someone else. Every other time, you have huge names drafted behind jobber chicks, and no one is supposed to notice or be offended.

Not sure if anyone noticed this, but there were more nods to Jim Cornette last night on Raw. Pearce wore a Cornette-style red blazer and McAfee shouted "Grab a tennis racket, Pearce!" before they went to break as he was walking out. It's pretty interesting how WWE is all-in Cult of Cornette now. Dave Scherer must've missed it, he hasn't complained about the association yet.

A trade or two is expected between RAW and SmackDown before WWE’s post-draft rosters are locked in next Monday.

For those watching the A&E shows that returned (Biography, Rivals, and Most Wanted Treasures), Vince and Kevin Dunn have been removed as Executive Producers and HHH is now on there instead.

Is the Biography one finished for this season? Roman Reigns was the last one just before Wrestlemania. Biography was replaced by Treasures. Biography should be done for a while.
