Vince McMahon accused of sex trafficking

It was part of the deal for him to sell, but they immediately started rolling back what they promised him, almost the first week. 

The lawsuit filing today included the NDA between Vince McMahon and Grant as a filing. The agreement called for a $1 million payment when it was signed in January 2022 with additional payments of $5000 in February 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. Grant's allegation is that McMahon never made any of the additional payments. The NDA included a clause that stated McMahon would not be required to continue making payments "in the event of any disclosures by Grant of the matter required to be kept confidential." The initial Wall Street Journal story about McMahon's indiscretions broke in June 2022, so the implication is that once it did, McMahon allegedly stopped paying, hence the lawsuit. Sources familiar with the matter claim McMahon blamed Grant for media leaks, which she denied being involved with.


So the only reason for the lawsuit being filed is because Vince Stopped paying?

The hypocrisy is staggering though. Jericho did literally nothing, even if the story is true (which it seems like it’s not), except make a pass at a girl and get rejected. Yet the calls for his career death and the constant jokes about NDAs involving Punk didn’t stop for 2 weeks. Here Vince is sexually assaulting women in the vilest ways possible, with actual NDAs flying everywhere, and the outage somehow seems almost non-existent in wrestling circles and only bad in the mainstream media. 

I don’t think any fan is surprised that the character and the person are identical. I think a lot of talents got worked and now look naive. People like Mick Foley, who was involved with a lot of bad Vince moments at the end and were hurt by them, but also continued to defend him because he saw how generous Vince could be. He looks silly now. A lot of others too.

Yes, everyone has a good side. Vince could be compassionate financially to some in need, which wasn’t exactly a hardship to him since he has the money and we now know he was spending more to keep women quiet than he ever did to help indigent wrestlers.  Lots of powerful people have a savior complex that can make them seem compassionate in the right circumstances. Vince was also the guy who fired people like Mark Yeaton after decades of loyalty, for no reason whatsoever as his salary was so low as to be virtually unnoticeable.

But I don’t think too many fans EVER thought that the guy making Trish bark like a dog on TV and who enjoyed humiliating dozens of wrestlers by shoving their faces in his ass was very different from who he was in real life. Normal people aren’t even coming to with those ideas, much less having the balls to present them and run with it. None of that shit ever made a dime either, it was Vince amusing Vince, something said by fans about him for decades. 

There’s different degrees of what fans and people behind the scenes knew or suspected. It has been clear for quite some time that Vince had other women while he was with Linda, often flaunting it let alone trying to hide it. He also has a juvenile sense of humor and used the booking to amuse himself at the expense of people in angles that made no money and entertained no one but him.

However, it’s still a long walk from that to jamming a sex toy so far into a woman that it got stuck, defecating on women, raping a woman (the word rape isn’t in the summons and complaint but that certainly is what happened in the office with Vince, the woman, and Laurinaitis based on the description), and pimping out the woman to whichever guy Vince wanted to entertain or gain favor with.

I am sympathetic with and understanding of people like Mick Foley that praised Vince in the past for his generosity. For one thing, we can wonder and suspect about what our bosses and co-workers do in their private lives, but also not know or have any idea it could be something as disgusting as what Vince allegedly did. I’m sure Mick knew Vince stepped out on Linda while they were still together, but doubt he figured it was this bad.

I also think that as years went by, Vince’s wealth and power grew, and he got away with more and more, he started getting further and further away from some semblance of living a normal life and having normal relationships. This is along the lines of Vince having some really weird sexual fantasies in 1999 that remained in the theater of his mind that by 2019 he able to live out due to everything that happened in between. Few people start at the level Vince was apparently at with Janel Grant. It likely took years to get there.

PWInsider says that a shirt had been designed commemorating Mr. McMahon's 1999 Royal Rumble victory. That shirt has been pulled from the physical Royal Rumble pop-up store in Tampa, and was never available online. So the distancing begins.

Yeah me neither, but depending on how everything shakes out, I also wouldn’t be surprised if some of the skits Vince did with various women over the years is removed from the Network.
