I'm not surprised at Johnny Ace that stance, though it's bullshit, but that wording is AWFUL.

Vice News quoted Johnny Ace's lawyer as saying this, which might be the worst possible thing that could've been said: "Mr. Laurinaitis denies the allegations in the misguided complaint and will be vigorously defending these charges in Court, not the media. Like the Plaintiff, Mr. Laurinaitis is a victim in this case, not a predator. The truth will come out." Dear God. "The truth will come out." What's stopping the investigation from pulling Vince's texting/phone records to see if the claims are true? Wouldn't that be the smoking gun, at least for Vince?

I'm sure they will. We also don't know what texts she sent him. I'd imagine some of her texts will form some defence for Vince, that she was into it all.

I can't even count how many times Laurinaitis 'rape' accusations there have been without him ever being legally charged with it

How about that female referee Chatterson, that accused him (and/or others in the wwf) of rape back in the 80s? Is she still alive? Maybe more info comes to light from that case

I think she is alive. There's an interview with her from 2022 on YouTube.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Vince McMahon is currently under federal investigation in relation to the allegations made by Janel Grant against him in regard to alleged sexual assault and sex trafficking.
Prosecutors in New York have been in contact with alleged victims according to the outlet.
McMahon issued a statement to the WSJ, commenting, "I intend to vigorously defend myself against these baseless accusations, and look forward to clearing my name.”
The WSJ report noted:
"The grand jury subpoena, described to The Wall Street Journal, offers the first window into the investigation, which began in 2022. The Journal reported in 2022 that McMahon had made payouts to several women who accused him of sexual misconduct while he was CEO and that prosecutors were investigating the payouts. The subpoena also sought communications between McMahon and these women, including Grant."
The WSJ report noted other women named in the grand jury subpoena include:
*A WWE contractor whom McMahon allegedly sent unsolicited nude photos and sexually harassed.
*A former WWE wrestler who said McMahon coerced her into giving him oral sex.
*Former WWE referee Rita Chatterton, who publicly accused McMahon of raping he.
*A spa manager who said McMahon assaulted her at a Southern California resort
*A former WWE employee who alleged the head of talent relations at the company at the time, John Laurinaitis, demoted her after she broke off an affair with him.
The investigation is a continuation of one publicly acknowledged by WWE in August 2023, four months after Endeavor purchased the company as their quarterly earnings report noted:
As previously disclosed on June 17, 2022, a Special Committee of the Board of Directors was formed on June 15, 2022 to investigate allegations of misconduct by Vince McMahon. As previously disclosed, the Special Committee investigation was completed during the fourth quarter of 2022. However, related government investigations remain ongoing.
On July 17, 2023, federal law enforcement agents executed a search warrant and served a federal grand jury subpoena on Mr. McMahon. No charges have been brought in these investigations.
The Company has received voluntary and compulsory legal demands for documents, including from federal law enforcement and regulatory agencies, concerning the investigation and related subject matters.
Fully consistent with prior expectations, the Company and Endeavor expect their transaction to be closed in the second half of 2023.
Additional information with respect to this item may be found in Note 18, Commitments and Contingencies, to the Consolidated Financial Statements.

This has just become 100 times worse for Vince, although he probably knew this was happening. Now the public knows. Shit has hit the fan. He escaped the Feds once, but I don't think he'll escape twice.

I'd still be surprised if anything comes out of this as far as jail time goes, but they eventually got Harvey Weinstein and this doesn't seem very different. If I was Vince, I'd be shitting my pants right now instead of shitting on women.

Lesnar has been removed from the WWE 2K Supercard mobile game. He’s not expected to be a character in any future video game releases.

Shawn Michaels was grilled at the NXT preference regarding the Vince allegations, as well as his own. He basically refused to comment on Vince, but when asked about the “Dark Side of the Ring” comments by Brutus Beefcake that he and Marty Jannetty used to drug women to sleep with then, Shawn said this:
“I’ll say this, I’ve never shied away from the stupid stuff I did in the past. If you go back and ask Brutus Beefcake, he’ll tell you he’s never seen any of that actually happen. Again, wrestling stories. He’s also retracted that after saying it.”

There’s no doubt in my mind he used to do this. Marty certainly did, he has done everything but admit it. It’s just a question as to how involved Shawn was, and he certainly was at least a few times.

Is Hausmann the guy who started all the Jericho rumours? I think it is.
Genuine question about these press conference and scrums after big shows...
Does the promotion benefit anything from them? Like, what is the upside? The dirt sheets will write plenty anyway, and have their sources. I could be wrong but when I gave seen and heard the AEW scrums its all Internet wrestling 'journalists' and I don't remember hearing from any mainstream media.
And we've seen the downside of these things several times in AEW, most notably (for me) boss man Tony Khan sitting like a cuck while Punk eviscerated one or two of his too stars.

Remember the story years ago on WC from Janetty? If that was true then that was (among other things) sexual assault. No doubt in my mind too, and certainly not unique to the Rockers. Also, I'd imagine, well known and tolerated by 'the boys'.
