The pics of the victim may not be legit. Brad Shepherd is under fire for revealing the name of Janel Grant, then doing a shoddy Internet search to find pics of her. The woman he found with the same name never worked for WWE, and she was outraged when she started to get dozens of creepy social media comments after she was incorrectly identified. This is the stuff of a lawyer’s dreams. Every controversy seems to bring down multiple other parties lately, and Shepherd appears to be as done as Vince.

Is the incorrect picture the same one that’s posted earlier in this thread? Several news outlets have used that photo.

The hottie in the pic above does not look a Janel. (Quite frankly.)

Also doesn't look like she's 43 years old, which the NY Times is reporting as her age.

Vince texts like a 15-year old virgin. He should be ashamed of the grammar and spelling if nothing else.

I'm amazed it took 2.5 years for something like this 'to come out' the guy is loaded with cash and is dumb enough to 'put it in writing' (via text)
I can't believe he was paying her off to be silent and then stopped making payments
I like that he named dildos after WWE wrestlers
This isn't even 'young Vince' this is 'old man' Vince. Unbelievable.

Vince McMahon has resigned from TKO Group Holding's Board of Directors, where he held the role of Executive Chairman.
The following statement was issued:
“I stand by my prior statement that Ms. Grant’s lawsuit is replete with lies, obscene made-up instances that never occurred, and is a vindictive distortion of the truth. I intend to vigorously defend myself against these baseless accusations, and look forward to clearing my name. However, out of respect for the WWE Universe, the extraordinary TKO business and its board members and shareholders, partners and constituents, and all of the employees and Superstars who helped make WWE into the global leader it is today, I have decided to resign from my executive chairmanship and the TKO board of directors, effectively immediately."

The New York Times' coverage of the lawsuit filed by Janel Grant yesterday against WWE, Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis featured comments from Jeff Speed, who quit the WWE Board of Directors in January 2023 when McMahon returned to the company, but helped lead the investigation into him when the initial allegations of McMahon's actions were brought to the Board's attention.
Responding to the allegation made in the lawsuit that no one from WWE had communications with Grant, who in the lawsuit described herself as willing to take part in the conversation, Speed stated that they did indeed reach out to Grant.
In a statement sent via law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett L.L.P (the third party that led the investigation into McMahon), Speed commented, "I remain confident in our investigation which included outreach to Ms. Grant and engagement with her lawyer."
Speed also stated that he acknowledges “the horrific nature of the allegations” brought by Grant via her lawsuit but was “not at liberty to comment on what was and was not learned during our investigation.”

Am I the only asshole that read that whole thing in Vince's voice? Because I can't stop laughing.

All kinds of drama now about how Cornette and Last read the story, as they apparently found out about this as they were recording yesterday and did a 45-minute segment on it. Shaving Weezie over on Classics is accusing Corny of "Victim Blaming". Cornette brings up the question as to why Janel stayed in this situation after repeatedly being raped both mentally and physically. I think it's an ill-informed question, but not entirely inappropriate. I can see why someone like Cornette could have doubts after being accused of shit himself by batshit crazy fans in the past trying to make a buck (not women, but guys saying the MX roughed them up in the parking lot or outside the ring). Anyway, the way this story is laid out, it's obviously a methodical, manipulative grooming thing. Based on everything we know about Vince, it's hard not to believe this happened 100% as it's written in the court filing.
