Please correct me if I'm wrong here...
11/16/81 Augusta, GA @ Bell Auditorium Tommy Rich beat Ivan Koloff in a bounty match Masked Superstar beat Mr. Wrestling II by DQ in a title vs. mask match
Tommy Rich was NWA National Heavyweight Champion on this date.
Neither Superstar nor Wrestling II was a champion at all on this date

Please correct me if I'm wrong here... 11/16/81 Augusta, GA @ Bell Auditorium Tommy Rich beat Ivan Koloff in a bounty match Masked Superstar beat Mr. Wrestling II by DQ in a title vs. mask match Tommy Rich was NWA National Heavyweight Champion on this date. Neither Superstar nor Wrestling II was a champion at all on this date I believe you're right. Superstar was the last holder of the Georgia Title, winning it on 9/12/81 from Tommy Rich in Atlanta. Supposedly, the Georgia title was unified with the National Title that the Superstar had at the time. He lost the National Title prior to the 11/16/81 date, but won it back on 11/25/81 from Tommy Rich in Atlanta.

Superstar had just recently returned "from suspension" as seen on GCW for 11/14/81 and while gone the babyfaces theorized that newcomer Super Destroyer might have been Superstar under another name, showing their similar repertoire and execution in the ring. In giving Bill Eadie leeway to work Japanese tours, the creative in Georgia had to create storylines out of his absences.

By the way, the newspaper ad for this Augusta card in question is unintentionally humorous:

Something about this is not correct.
8/29/81 Atlanta, GA @ WTBS Studios(TV)
Masked Superstar beat Tommy Rich to win NWA Georgia Title & unify it with NWA(Georgia) National Title
The TV Broadcast ends after the Mike Sharpe match against Jerry Mahoney ------------------
8/29/81 Atlanta, GA @ Omni Andre The Giant & Tommy Rich(sub for Michael Hayes) beat Jimmy Snuka & Terry Gordy
NWA Georgia Heavyweight Title Match Tommy Rich (c) beat Masked Superstar. Superstar says on the 8/29 tv, that only the Georgia title will be on the line
----------- The unification match was on September 12, 1981 at the Omni with Superstar winning both belts, not 8/29 and it was not televised. Wrestling title-histories also has the 9/12/81 date.

This is not correct. There was no Omni show on this date. The correct date for this title change is June 21, 1981 (not the 12th)
6/12/81 Atlanta, GA @ Omni Ken Patera beat Tommy Rich to win NWA Georgia Title (WRONG DATE)
CORRECT DATE --- 6/21/81 Atlanta, GA @ Omni Dusty Rhodes beat Harley Race to win NWA World Title Ken Patera beat Tommy Rich to win NWA Georgia Title

I have another listing for that Macon show that's on 2/19/80. Same matches. I know Macon and Columbus taped for TV, but I don't know what day.

Unless it ever is made distinct by someone in attendance, television listings will cause confusion because the air date is often shown later and then bicycled around TV markets at different times, which skews how a match will fall into the timeline because some record-keepers can reference only when they were able to see it. The way chall labels his TV Guide listings is helpful when he knows both taping date and broadcast dates. Part of the never-ending quest...

I have another listing for that Macon show that's on 2/19/80. Same matches. I know Macon and Columbus taped for TV, but I don't know what day. Dutch Mantell has mentioned on his podcast how working Atlanta TV in the morning on Saturday (taped for air at 6:05pm) could lead to a second TV live show for the afternoon in another market like Columbus, and a house show that evening, possibly at Columbus' arena but not necessarily. From the 2/23 morning show in Atlanta, only Wrestling II and Tenryu wind up in Macon while Travis and Rich go to Columbus. Dutch himself appears in Knoxville that same night, which also had a grandstand challenge from Don Wright, offering $5000 against Rich if he brings only a baloney sandwich to the fight. Other wrestlers have mentioned a similar schedule for doing TV like this, so the logistics of the television is more likely than you think if you're viewing from their small and individualized market mindset of the day.
