Killer Kowalski with his students in 1993. None of them ever made it. All the way to the right on the photo and over Trips left shoulder looks like 70's WWWF jobber and Los Angeles main eventer Butcher Brannigan.

Atsushi Onita visiting Terry Funk’s grave. I love how he’s all bandaged up, probably hours removed from another death match somewhere. Attachments:

Honky Tonk Man and Cpl. Kirchner helping a bloody Hulk Hogan to the back, followed by Billy Jack Haynes. Does anyone know the context of this pic. It would have to be in those few week in late 1986 where HTM was first brought in as a babyface and Hogan’s friend, but he was turned heel almost immediately. Attachments:

That would make sense but the question I have is around Honky's jumpsuit. I don't remember him wearing these until.he turned. I could he wrong. Could this have been in Japan? Edit: I had a quick check and cagematch doesn't have Kirchner wrestling in Japan until 1989, long after the WWF run. So it's not that.

It would have to be a match between July 4 and November. November is when Honky Joined Jimmy Hart. Before that he was facing Race,Roberts,JJ Funk,& Savage on House shows. I would have to say this would be after a Hogan vs Orndorff match.

I remember a few promos and maybe a squash match or two, but didn’t realize he was a face for 5 months. Was he doing much on TV during this time? I remember the gimmick just seeming to be DOA until he turned heel, it was never going to work as a face. I believe the idea was for him to be like “Boogie Woogie Man” Jimmy Valiant as Vince had always been a mark for the Valiants, but it was just an awful idea until they went heel with it.

First two months (July-Aug) he was doing tape promos, being on the flower shop & body shop. They had had JYD after his match introduced the Honkytonk Man who made his way out to the ring. Sept had his first match on TV. He would have a couple of TV matches after that but mostly promos and being on Snake Pit till the heel turn. Most of his face work was on the house shows.

From the Chris Colt Dark Side of the Ring episode. Colt vs. Cowboy Bo Ellis from 1972 during their match at Rosenblatt Stadium. One of the bloodiest matches in wrestling up to that point. It was featured in several of the magazines at the time. Attachments:
